VMI featured in new Sustainability Guide, compiled by ACrew4U | cre8tiveBank and in partnership with evcom.
This is a comprehensive 68 page sustainability guide for all companies, taking the reader from the whys of sustainability implementation and change processess and best-practice. Best of all, it is easy to read and features useful graphics and easy to understand concepts written in a sensible pragmatic style.
Bill Mountain of ACrew4U told me that he was sufficiently impressed with VMI’s decarbonisation success, that he wanted to VMI as a case study, which features on page 28! Thanks Bill for the plug!

Chau started with us as an assistant accountant back in the late nineties!

VMI wouldn't be the same without him! And we certainly would not have our lunch club on Tuesdays.

Here we all are celebrating Chau by bringing in a selection of dishes from home in honour of our lunch club 🎉

VMI's journey to net-zero began in 2021, with the company committing to achieving net-zero by 2030, publicly reporting emissions and aiming for continuous annual reductions and by 2023, the company had more than halved its emissions.

Significant climate actions followed, reducing its carbon footprint annually and as a recognised Albert supplier, VMI became fully certified Carbon Neutral in 2022 and by 2023, VMI had more than halved its 2019 carbon emissions, surpassing expectations two years ahead of schedule.

Classic Vintage Cooke 20-100 (5:1) /T3.1 zoom is now in stock. The Varotal 20-100mm was a staple lens amongst the leading filmmakers of the time. Stanley Kubrick employed thirty six zoom shots in Barry Lyndon (1975, cinematographer John Alcott BSC) utilising the 20-100mm on this shoot. The most common type was the reverse zoom, beginning in a close up and then pulling back slowly to gradually reveal more and more context. Visually this reduces the character’s significance as the shot develops.

VMI working in conjunction with education provider The JGA Group is delivering the second 6-week production bootcamp for youngsters looking to further develop and support aspiring individuals keen to understand what it takes to be a production assistant and thrive in the Film and TV entertainment industry.

The course is designed and being delivered by multi award winning producer Simon P**n Tip in conjunction with Creative Director Ellis Gilbert.

Is there a distinction between our media reporting the ‘truth’ and our media being ‘neutral’?

Lisa Nandy thinks so and I personally agree.

I think that the neutral reporting over Brexit by trying to be ‘neutral’ ended up giving a biased coverage. What do you think?
