We thought we knew exactly how our baby’s birth would happen. 🤍
He was breech and wasn’t ready to turn, so we had a C-section scheduled for 39 weeks.
But two days before our planned date, I noticed some spotting. I thought it might be nothing, but we decided to go to the hospital just to be safe.
The hospital was only 10 minutes away… and as soon as I got into the car, the contractions started.
By the time we arrived, my water had broken, my contractions were only 3 minutes apart, and our baby was still breech.
So our carefully planned C-section suddenly became an emergency C-section.
I had never been admitted to a hospital before. I had never had surgery before. And suddenly, I was about to have the biggest surgery of my life - while meeting the little boy we had been waiting for. 🥹🤍
We had a date planned.
He had a different plan.
And just like that… we became parents. 🍼
