Clorindo Testa’s 1962 Mariano Moreno National Library on our Brutalist Buenos Aires Map / Mapa Brutalista de Buenos Aires.

Testa placed the National Library atop four tall columns so as to allow readers a view over Buenos Aires. He often referred to the building as a ‘quadruped’ as if it were a living concrete creature standing above the city.
