MANAGEMENT: Sonia Damney/Jessie Tsang Spinning records since 1982 at just 17 years old, Jon quickly made a name for himself in the UK club scene, becoming a resident DJ at the legendary London Hippodrome for over a decade. He also held down sets at some of the big

gest and most iconic venues, including Club UK, Stringfellows’ ‘Friday Night Dance Night’, Camden Palace, and Limelight. His talents took him far beyond the UK, lighting up dancefloors at Tito’s Palace & BCM in Majorca, Music Factory in Barcelona, and Club Berlin in Perth, Australia. Jon was at the forefront of the House music movement in the late '80s, blending his love of Disco and Soul with the fresh, emerging dance sounds of the time. As co-owner of one of the South’s most influential record stores, he played a pivotal role in launching the careers of now-legendary DJs such as Simon Dunmore, Brandon Block, Dean Thatcher, and Rocky & Diesel. With impeccable mixing skills and an unrivalled ability to read the crowd, Jon has cemented his reputation as one of the UK’s most technically accomplished DJs. Whether it’s Jazz-Funk, Soul, Disco, or Soulful & Jackin’ House, his sets are a masterclass in energy, passion, and precision. His talent hasn’t gone unnoticed—Jon was runner-up for Best Soul Club DJ in a public poll by Soul Survivors Magazine and also won Best Soul Radio Show. Still a highly in-demand DJ, Jon continues to rock festivals, weekender events, and intimate venues alike. His recent appearances include Liquid Spirit London, Funky Dory, Great Yarmouth Soul Weekender, Margate Soul Festival, Luxury Soul Weekender (Blackpool), Ghetto Heaven, Soul Family Affair (Hunstanton), and Butlins Soul Weekender. His international gigs span Liquid Spirit (Gozo), Boutique Soul (Rhodes), Salou Soul (Spain), Portugal Soul Weekender, Kavos Soul & Reggae Week (Corfu), BolSoul (Croatia), and Lagoona Soul (Turkey). He also holds residencies at some of the UK’s hottest soul events, including Sweet Sensation, Love Injection, Jive (Luton), The Boisdale (Canary Wharf), and Ruby Soul. Beyond the clubs, Jon takes his passion for music to the airwaves, presenting ‘Soulfully Smooth – Mi-Afternoons’ on Mi-Soul Radio, weekdays from 1PM-4PM GMT. WOW… I’m just about recovering from what was honestly one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had as a Mi-Soul presenter! 💙✨

Taking part in the London Parade 2026

with Mi-Soul Radio, in conjunction with Centre Transport Sales, proudly representing the London Borough of Hackney and raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, was nothing short of surreal.

From the energy on the streets, the love from the crowds, the music pumping, to knowing we were all coming together for such an incredible cause – it truly hit me in the heart. Moments like these remind me why Mi-Soul is more than just a radio station… it’s a Family a Community and a movement.

A very special thank you to Gordon Mac MBE and Tony Sawyer for the vision, belief and leadership that made this moment possible as well as Jem & Jay from Wharfedale Pro, Martin from AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ, Eddie from 2 Big Audio, Kacy from White Sound & Light, Paul and his amazing team from JJ Engineering, and the AMAZING lot from Musical Freedom/Soulful Merchandising (the Hi-Vis garments were also SPECTACULAR) This didn’t just happen – it was built with purpose, passion and heart ❤️

🎥 Here’s a montage of the day, made exclusively by , who was the winner of the charity auction to be part of this unforgettable experience – and absolutely smashed it. Thank you for capturing the magic so perfectly.

There is nothing better than the memories of records played in clubs as we were growing up! Clubs like The Goldmine, Bentleys, Zero 6, 100 Club, Crackers, Cheekee Petes, Americas, Bogarts, The Sheffield Arms, Gossips, Frenchies etc.. And events like Caister, Prestatyn, Camber Sands and Bournemouth to name but a few ......fond, emotive memories, pleasure seeking indeed and as we age (!! yes, age), the tunes stay timeless Who wants to reminisce this wonderful musical period.... ? QUALITY STREET is the brainchild of JON JULES who was a member of the "Soul Tribe" the Paddington Soul Partners and has been a pro DJ & musician for over 30 (phew) years and presents a weekly radio show on Mi Soul Radio, Sunday 7-10am He is joined by guest artists and DJ’s, who go on that wonderful journey with him, journeys that take the listener down the Soulful Sidewalk to the Fry Up Mix, on to the Sunshine Boulevard, before dropping in to the Corner, called Jazz, en-route the the final destination, back to Quality St.
