SPLM launches Resource Mobilization committee ahead of Historic General Elections
On 24th August, 2026 in Juba,SPLM the ruling party in the Republic of South Sudan have formed a resource mobilization committee comprised of 20 cadres tasked with undertaking a transparent and robust resource mobilization effort to strengthen the party’s financial position in preparation for the nation’s first ever general elections. The committee is headed by Hon. Lam Tungwar, Undersecretary in national ministry of water resources and irrigation, as the chairman.

As the country prepares for the forthcoming general elections announced by the Government, the SPLM has embarked on a process of political and institutional readiness. It is within this context that the Party leadership constituted the SPLM Resource Mobilisation Committee, comprising committed cadres entrusted with mobilising the resources necessary to support the Party’s preparations.
The mandate of the Committee is to reach out to SPLM members, supporters, friends and well-wishers, both at home and abroad, to voluntarily contribute financial, material, logistical and other forms of support necessary to strengthen the Party’s preparedness for the electoral process and its broader political activities.
The Committee therefore calls upon all SPLM members, supporters and friends who believe in the vision and future of the Movement to stand with their Party at this important moment.
