We Have 12 Children - And Yes They’re All Ours MY EXTRAORDINARY FAMILY
A FAMILY that dances together stays together - at least that’s the case for the Storm family who went viral on TikTok after posting videos of themselves dancing. The family of 14, who are based in California, have always enjoyed dancing and performing together. But it wasn’t until 2021 that mum, Iris, began sharing her family’s talents on social media. Within months the family had gone viral. Parents Storm and Iris have shared their love of dancing with their kids from a young age. Storm told Truly: “We started teaching our kids [to dance] right out the womb to be honest! If I’m holding the baby, the baby’s going to dance!” The couple have received some negative comments about their large family. “It bothers me when people say I can’t give proper attention to all of my kids, because I’m intentional with every one of them”, Iris said. Despite some of these comments, the Storm family are well loved on social media, with many fans commenting on their incredibly close bond. “Dance keeps us together, it keeps us moving at one beat”, says Storm.

Alysia, Tyler, Sean and Taya started off as two couples but now they describe themselves as a quad. They met as swingers but couldn’t get enough of each other. “When we started talking we met that very next week, we just wanted to see more and more of each other,” 27-year-old Taya told Truly. They never stopped talking and eventually Alysia, 33, and Sean, 45, admitted they had feelings for each other. Soon after Taya and Tyler, 35, said that they felt the same. The four now all live together in a beautiful spacious house in Oregon with horses in the back garden. The men swap bedrooms every night and share two children (an eight and seven-year-old) Alysia and Tyler had before, as they describe it, their 'closed quad' met. In 2021 Alysia and Taya each gave birth to a baby but they haven't found out which man is the biological father to either baby - and they don’t want to know. Alysia said: “Sure I’ve wondered about it but I see Sean as a wonderful daddy to the babies and I see Tyler as a wonderful daddy too.”

We Allow Our 7-Year-Old To Talk To The Dead MY EXTRAORDINARY FAMILY
PARANORMAL investigators Todd and his fiancee, Marissa, from New Bedford, Massachusetts have made researching the afterlife their full-time job. When the couple moved into their first home together 10 years ago, they got a nasty surprise - their house was haunted by negative spirits. Todd told Truly: “We would see apparitions and shadow figures, things would be thrown and we would hear voices.” In a quest to find out more, Todd and Marissa learned everything there is to know about the paranormal. Last year, the two moved into a converted old school building with their young daughter Julia. When the seven-year-old told her parents about nightly knocking on her bedroom walls, the family realised they had again moved into a haunted property. “We decided to investigate our new home and we have a known spirit here named Angie, she’s become part of our family, she’s the roommate you can’t see,” Todd explained. And Julia has taken over the obsession for the afterlife from her parents. Marissa added: “When I grew up my parents told me it was fake, but I won’t do that. I tell my daughter the truth, I want her to know about it." When possible, Julia joins her parents on their paranormal adventures and is learning all there is to know about communicating with the afterlife. Todd said: “Julia knows more about the paranormal than most adults out there, she is going to be a phenomenal investigator one day.”

People Say I'm 'Sick' For Breastfeeding My 4-Year-Old MY EXTRAORDINARY FAMILY
A MUM-OF-TWO, and an advocate of extended nursing, has been breastfeeding her four-year-old daughter every day since she was born. Describing it as 'mother's intuition', Cherrelle Granville, 31, from The Hague, Netherlands, says she has always wanted to breastfeed her children for as long as possible - even beyond toddlerhood. When Cherrelle had her first child Christiano, now 11, she was forced to stop breastfeeding him aged two after her desire to continue was met with disapproval among family and friends. As Cherrelle began to educate herself on long-term breastfeeding, she was welcomed by a community of mothers who shared the same belief and gave Cherrelle the support she needed. After her daughter Cavani was born, Cherrelle decided to fully embrace the nursing method regardless of others' judgement. Four years later, Cherrelle has been breastfeeding Cavani at least once a day with no plans of stopping it anytime soon. Now the proud mother regularly shares her breastfeeding photos on social media in a bid to raise awareness of extended nursing and natural parenting.

Parents Matt and Klara, from Doncaster, UK, had a set of twins four years ago: a boy named Arlo and a girl named Emerald. But Matt and Klara noticed their daughter was unhappy with wearing dresses and growing long hair. The four-year-old, who now goes by the name Stormy, told his parents when he was just two-years-old, that he was a boy. Matt said: 'He was genuinely upset with being dressed as a girl. There was a point where I thought, this isn't just a phase. This isn't a little girl we are looking at here. It's a little boy.' The parents, who initially thought gender dysmorphia was a 'made up' idea, are now fully supportive of Stormy's transition. The parents have been criticised on social media for 'forcing their own views' on their child. But Matt and Klara believe they are doing what is best for Stormy. Klara said: 'All I hope for is that Stormy is comfortable with being Stormy.'

Our Mum Was Incarcerated For 11 Years MY EXTRAORDINARY FAMILY
TYLOR was five years old when his mum, Natausha, first went to prison. She was reincarcerated while he was in high school and did a further eight years in jail. Tylor remembers that time vividly: “I was really mad. I remember feeling confused, devastated and just really betrayed," he told Truly. In prison, Natausha spent a lot of time reflecting on her decisions and her role as a mum to her kids. She told Truly: “I have a lot of regrets. I try not to focus on those regrets too much because it would keep me from moving forward. I've learned to forgive myself and to just try to be better than I was before." Natausha was released from prison in December 2020. The mother and son duo have spent the time since her release rekindling their relationship. Tylor told Truly: “I'd say we’re probably closer than we’ve ever been, I didn't really think that was possible. But now being an adult myself and understanding that everyone makes mistakes, but they don’t define who you are… That’s really helped."

Our Daughter’s Transition Isn't For ‘Fame’ MY EXTRAORDINARY FAMILY
PARENTS Anna and Jonathan have been criticised online for choosing to support their eight-year-old daughter's transition from male to female. The couple from Surrey, have four children including their daughter Edie, who decided to transition during the lockdown of the global pandemic. Edie was born Eduardo, but according to her mum Anna, has always been attracted to more stereotypical female items and toys. Anna Told Truly: "Ever since she could basically dress herself, she wanted to wear her older sister's clothes, or she wanted to wear dress-up dresses, which I completely embraced." During the UK's lockdown, Edie started wanting to wear girl's clothes outside of the house and by the time schools had reopened again, Edie decided she wanted to transition to a girl. Anna said: "We were apprehensive at the beginning that she wanted to wear the girl uniform. I was terrified but I remember when I picked her up from school that first day, I said how did it go wearing the dress? Edie replied, 'I forgot I was even wearing it'." With that, Anna and Jonathan fully supported their daughter and accepted Edie's next decision to change her name from Eduardo. Jonathan said: "With Edie's situation, because of my experience in life, I am now a non-binary person, I feel like I have an opportunity now to try and do what I wish someone had done for me." The couple added: "If Edie at 15 turned around to us and said I want to be Eduardo again we'd be like sure! But now you've shown the other three siblings that no matter who you are, your parents are gonna love you."
