We’re so excited to welcome to the Hyperdub Publishing / Beggars Music roster.

DJ Haram is an electronic music producer, multi-disciplinary propagandist, and self described anti-format DJ, originally from New Jersey currently based in Brooklyn, NY. Stylistically versatile, Haram is known for her eclectic production and djing – experimental bass and club music; analogue synths and percussion; abrasive, noise adjacent rap collaborations; weaving in Middle Eastern instrumentation and samples.

Her forthcoming album Beside Myself is out on on 18th July. Listen to singles Fishnets and Vo**ur now.

Reintroducing

Mal Devisa is the songwriting, liberation, and poetry project of multifarious artist Deja Carr.

Starting in 2014 and breaking through with 2016’s Kiid, Mal Devisa’s work spans a self-made spectrum of sound from gravitic, soulful rock to soliloquy to unabashed hip hop. Although known for her unmistakable, smouldering voice and loop-based, bass-forward compositions, Carr’s talents also extend to reaches of poetry and production, paralleled by aspirations to start both a youth foundation and Afrobeat orchestra.

Palimpsesa, out on on July 30th, is a career spanning anthology album shining a light on Deja’s most powerful work to date.
