Overseeing the reopening is Guillaume Glipa, whose résumé includes some of London’s most fashionable addresses, and the intention here is clear: a restaurant with the polish of Mayfair, but the easy charm of a Parisian neighbourhood café. This August, Michelin-starred Jamavar marks its 10th anniversary with something especially personal: its first-ever Onam Sadhya, inspired by the South Indian heritage of the Nair family.

Named Leelamma’s Onam Sadhya after owner Samyukta Nair’s grandmother, the 21-dish feast celebrates the generosity and traditions of Kerala, from banana chips and pickles to Sea Bass Meen Porichathu and Alleppey Prawn Curry, finishing with Pal Payasam and Parippu Pradhaman.

Available for two weeks only, 15–31 August, at lunchtime. £68pp.
