We’re very sad to hear of the passing of Chris Rea.
It feels like a wonderful tribute to hear his voice everywhere this week, as "Driving Home For Christmas" remains a staple on many a festive playlist since it’s release in the late 1980s.
In this clip from 1988, Chris Rea tells Gloria Hunniford the story behind the iconic Christmas song.

We are saddened to hear of the recent passing of former Marine AFC manager, Roly Howard. ⚽️🖤
Roly wasn't just a manager; he was an institution, holding the Guinness World Record as the longest-serving football manager in the world, leading his team for an incredible 33 years between 1972 and 2005.
Back in 1999, ITV went behind the scenes at Rossett Park for the fly-on-the-wall documentary series, Marine Lives. The series captured Howard’s grit and character as he fought to turn around the team's fortunes as they languished in the lower reaches of the Unibond Premier League.

Happy 38th Birthday Knightmare!

Anglia Television’s groundbreaking kids’ adventure game show debuted on 7th September 1987. Created by Tim Child and hosted by Hugo Myatt as dungeon master Treguard, it fused blue-screen chroma key and early computer graphics to drop a sightless “dungeoneer” (wearing the Helmet of Justice) into a living dungeon, guided by three teammates. As the years progressed, the technology levelled up, from painted rooms and simple keying to richer 3D compositing.

Filmed in Norwich, it ran for eight series and rewired a generation’s after-school imaginations. Enter, stranger…
