This year marks 250 years since the birth of Jane Austen, one of the world’s most beloved authors. To celebrate this milestone, we are spotlighting our Collins Classroom Classics editions of some of her incredible novels.

Pride and Prejudice was Jane Austen’s second published novel and has one of the most famous opening lines of any novel: ‘It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife’.

Persuasion was the last novel completed by Jane Austen. It was published alongside Northanger Abbey, six months after her death.
