Playing through songs, chants and rhymes can start long before playing with physical toys. It develops happy communication and helps to take stress out of difficult times for both baby and adult. Playsongs started as a baby music group for my friends and theirs when we all had little babies. Playsongs, and all the other books and CDs which followed from it, came out of running those music groups.
