My first city - Glasgow ♥️
I don’t think I can ever look at this city as just another place on the map.
This is where my UK journey began.
I came here as a student from Nagpur, not knowing a single person in this country. No family, no friends, no one to tell me how things worked or how to even begin.
I got my first job here. Earned my first ÂŁ1 here.
Starting from zero in a new country wasn’t easy. There were days when even taking a bus felt expensive, and almost everything had to be figured out on my own.
But I remember telling myself when I arrived:
“Today, I don’t know anyone here. But I’ll build something, and one day people will know that I exist.”
I didn’t know what that “something” would be. I just knew I had to keep going.
And slowly, somehow, that journey became a community of more than 600,000 people.
From Nagpur to Glasgow.
From Glasgow to the UK and across Europe.
From thinking twice before spending money on a bus to countries like Finland inviting me to help promote their tourism.
Crazy. Surreal. And still difficult to believe sometimes.
And then, years after arriving in Glasgow as a student who knew nobody, I came back to put on a show.
And the room was full.
Standing there that night, I couldn’t stop thinking about that student who arrived here alone, earned his first £1 and had the audacity to believe he would build something one day.
I wish I could tell him just one thing:
Keep going. You have no idea where this journey is going to take you.
There is still a long way to go, but that night made me stop and look back for a moment.
From Nagpur to Glasgow, and then somehow to the world.
Some cities become part of your story.
And some remind you just how far you’ve come. ❤️
Glasgow, life really came full circle here.
