A man who murdered a Muslim student from Makkah, Saudi Arabia has been sentenced to 22 years and 6 months.
Chaz Corrigan, 22 was convicted of stabbing 20-year-old student Mohammed Al Qassim in an unprovoked attack in Cambridge last year.
Mohammed Al Qassim had travelled to the UK for an English language programme when he was stabbed in the neck near Cambridge railway station on 1st August 2025.
Prosecutors described the attack as an "unprovoked and senseless murder" carried out after an evening of heavy drinking and drug use.
Mohammed’s funeral took place at the Masjid Al Haram in Makkah. May Allah have mercy on him.
