A truly Passionate, Enthusiastic & Certified Audio Engineer with strong Recording, Editing, Designing & Mixing experience. Diverse background of 9 years in TV Series, Feature/Commercial Films & Documentary Films. This is definitely not an advertisement but I must write what I did in last few years. Firstly I get appointed in Nadiadwala Empire Studio in February, 2011. Where I got vast experience to working with several famous Bollywood Musicians and Singers to record an amicable sound for them. I was too curious to know how the SOUND RECORDING - EDITING - MIXING & MASTERING process done in Films so start assisting for the same in our studio. Later on I worked for several Bollywood Hindi Films, Bhojpuri Films, Regional films and also for Universal Studios dubbed Hindi Films as SOUND EDITOR & SOUND RECORDIST. As of work I did editing, balancing, dubbing, ADR, Foley and what not ! Day by Day, I was becoming more curious and passionate about my work and sound techniques. Studio Life was quite satisfactory & peaceful to me though It was not enough. I jumped into a field of “ Location Sound Recording “. I get more interest to record various FILM actors & actress, ambiance while shooting the film. I finally grab the gears as “ LOCATION SOUND RECORDIST.” It was all freelancing project base work. I started it around 2015 and still working. There are 4 important role in FILM SHOOTING. 1. Producer ( Indeed because he is paying us ) 2. Director ( Who knows everything, The One who sails the SHIP. Sometimes I experienced the worst also ) 3. Cinematographer ( Crazy Creative & Experimenting People around ) 4. Sound Engineer ( Definitely A guy who always telling people not to make noise while filming ) There is so many departments in FILM SHOOTING & I must say “ Film shooting cant be completed without a single one “ but I admire these departments as The Decision Makers. As a Location Sound Recordist, I get more involvement and interest from inside. I truly feel so good to communicate with directors and whosoever roaming around the FILM FLOOR. Each one teach me something from the Film technician crew. Some people tell me their experiences and suggest what to do & what not to do on the film floor. Every time I meet new people, different Artist & co - workers. Everybody has a different way to work and I have to deal with it. Generally I stay calm and pleasing people to speak less and dont make noise while film shooting is going on though It isnt work all time. I have to be a BADASS person and understand people not to make noise.
On the terms, Sound Recordist need to record each dialogue & ambiance of the different film shooting fields. It is in need to cut off surrounding unwanted sound. It is indeed a challenging work. While recording a SOUND on the floor I basically take helps from assistant and Boom Mic Holders. Every time the Film project is different than other one and I have to change the requirement and equipment list.
So on, There are lot of things to write about my journey as “ SOUND RECORDIST “ but This is what I am sharing for thr first time on my page.
