Without experiencing criticism and rejection in life, it would be impossible to grow or improve yourself.

People know your name, not your story.
They’ve heard what you’ve done, but not what you’ve been through. So take their opinions of you with a grain of salt. In the end, it’s not what others think, it’s what you think about yourself that counts.
Sometimes you have to do exactly what’s best for you and your life, not what’s best for everyone else.

Sometimes you just can't explain what you see in a person. It's just the way they take you to a place where no one else ...

Don’t ruin a good today by thinking of a bad yesterday. Let it go.

Be the Person Who Breaks the Cycle ...

If you were judged,
choose understanding
If you were rejected,
choose acceptance
If you were shamed,
choose compassion.

Be the person you needed
when you were hurting,
not the person who hurt you.
Vow to be better
than what broke you
To heal
instead of becoming bitter
so you can act from your heart,
not your pain.

“Your children are not your children.
They are sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you.
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth....."
Khalil Gibran

5 valuable lessons from the book "The Five Things We Cannot Change and the Happiness We Find by Embracing Them" by David Richo

"The Five Things We Cannot Change and the Happiness We Find by Embracing Them" by David Richo is a thought-provoking book that explores the fundamental aspects of life that we often struggle with.

1. Acceptance is key: One of the central teachings of the book is that true happiness comes from accepting the things we cannot change. By acknowledging and embracing the realities of life, such as impermanence, uncertainty, and the fact that we all have limitations, we can find peace and contentment.

2. Letting go of control: We often try to control every aspect of our lives, believing that it will bring us happiness. However, the book emphasizes that letting go of the need for control is liberating. We cannot control everything, and by accepting this, we can find freedom and open ourselves up to new possibilities.

3. Embracing impermanence: Everything in life is impermanent, including relationships, experiences, and even our own existence. Instead of resisting this truth, the book encourages us to embrace it. By recognizing the transient nature of life, we can fully appreciate the present moment and find joy in the ever-changing nature of our experiences.

4. Cultivating mindfulness: Mindfulness is a powerful tool for finding happiness amidst the challenges of life. The book emphasizes the importance of being fully present in each moment, observing our thoughts and emotions without judgment. By practicing mindfulness, we can develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

5. Living authentically: The book encourages us to live in alignment with our true selves. This means being honest with ourselves, embracing our strengths and weaknesses, and living in accordance with our values. By living authentically, we can experience a sense of fulfillment and genuine happiness.
