‘Shootin’ Crap’ is een album zoals er veel te weinig gemaakt worden. Prima composities, getalenteerde muzikanten en Cat Lee King die vocaal enorm dicht bij de legendarische artiesten van dit genre aanleunt, zijn de hier gebruikte ingrediënten.
Er is maar één band die dit oude genre op een hedendaagse, originele en vakkundige manier kan uitvoeren. Die band luistert naar de naam Cat Lee King and His C***s.

„Shootin' Crap“ ist ein Album, von dem viel zu wenige gemacht werden. Hervorragende Kompositionen, talentierte Musiker und Cat Lee King, dessen Gesang den legendären Künstlern dieses Genres unglaublich nahe kommt, sind die Zutaten dieses Albums.
Es gibt nur eine Band, die dieses uralte Genre auf zeitgenössische, originelle und fachmännische Weise spielen kann. Diese Band trägt den Namen Cat Lee King and His C***s.

‘Shootin' Crap’ is an album of which far too few are made. Excellent compositions, talented musicians, and Cat Lee King, whose vocals are incredibly close to the legendary artists of this genre, are the ingredients used here.
There's only one band that can perform this age-old genre in a contemporary, original, and expert way. That band goes by the name of Cat Lee King and His C***s.

De 14 songs op de track list zijn opgenomen volgens de ondertussen gekende formule, wat uiteraard de liefhebbers van het genre erg zal behagen. F. Wirths en René Lieutenant schreven de meeste nummers. Dit zijn mijn “aanraders”: het perfect rockende “Headin’ for the Cotton Field”, “Don’t Blame It on Elvis” een nummer met een exotisch ondertoontje van ene Manning dat je in vakantie stemming brengt, het vrolijke “Mr. Big Time”, het swingende “The World Keeps on Turnin’”, de gekende cover “Pretend” die zelfs Nat King Cole niet kon laten liggen, “Brand New Heart” omdat ik ook een rustiger nummer moet noemen en “Last Call for Alcohol”, waarmee Cat en Co. in schoonheid en volgens de regels van r’n’r afsluiten.

‘TURBOMOUTH’ is de titel van hun nieuwste (vierde) album. De 11 songs op de track list (die Lanshammer schreef) zijn opgenomen volgens de ondertussen gekende formule, wat uiteraard de Kokomo-fans erg zal behagen. Dit zijn mijn “aanraders”: de opener en titelsong, het door de groove aanstekelijke “Between Nothing and Nowhere”, het gemoedelijke country-getinte “Something In Her Eyes”, het stompende rechttoe rechtaan “But I Like It”, het ouderwetse “Titanium Heart”, “Sugar Diet” omdat de titel me aanspreekt en “Afternoon Tea”, de afsluiter, een garage rocker die alles d.m.v. de beide gitaren nog eens perfect en duidelijk samenvat!

Dominic Moews – ‘Sings’ (Rhythm Bomb Records)
A debut EP from new artist Dominic Moews under the title ‘Sings’ and issued through Germany’s Rhythm Bomb Records. Backed by The Class-O-Mates for the entirety of this brand-new record, Dominic Moews provides an accomplished performance throughout with a brief collection of rockers and ballads. All songs are written by the man himself and that is always a refreshing sign, especially when they are as good as this! A punchy beginning in the form of ‘True Lover’s Kiss’ where passionate vocals reflect optimism in the pursuit of love, all set to a catchy and energetic rhythm that really drives this opening song. The tempo resets for ensuing ‘Let Our Story Unfold’ that is a semi-ballad and one where Dominic Moews vocal reflects much personality expressing its desires for a relationship to “unfold”, but this number is hesitant and perhaps unrequited from the other side of the fence; a truly excellent track and one that would have received a nod of approval from the likes of Eddie Cochran or even the King perusing over its details, before making a decision whether to breathe life into its lungs himself. Yes, it is that good! Next up is ‘Let’s Rattle’ and the mood possesses a darker tone with a tight energetic rhythm, and gives the impression of the central protagonist in transit with no particular destination in mind. Concluding this debut record is the love song ‘Oh, Honey!’, with its rock ‘n’ roll reflecting Latino influences that sparkle and shine with extra impetus given by additional handclaps providing the perfect finale for what is an impressive debut record. A new artist with homemade songs in the shape of Dominic Moews which, on this evidence, is soon to become an established name on the rockin’ circuit. Watch this space!

We had to stop shipments to the US today. Why? There will be new custom rulez in place end of August. There was a custom free value of $800, this was cancelled. In addition to that the local postal services will introduce a custom clearance fee of minumum $80 for each parcel. This needs to be paid by the buyer. So all our shipments to customers from the US are suspended by now and we wont be able to ship goods to the US directly.
