Steadicam Luke Luke is a freelance Steadicam Operator who works in Feature Film, TV Drama, Music Promos, and Commercials.

Luke studied TV Production at Bournemouth University, specialising in Camera and Lighting, and graduated with a 1st Class (Hons) Degree. Luke's final year project was a visual journey through Aldwych, a disused station on a now defunct branch of the Piccadilly Line. 'Secret Station' has now had over a million hits on YouTube. After graduating Luke worked at an equipment hire company, gaining exper

ience in the industry for several years. He then decided to invest in his own Steadicam equipment, and made the move into the freelance world. Luke now has professional Steadicam experience in shorts, feature films, music promos, corporates, and online commercials. That time of year again - with the kids back at school and nursery I could finally give the old a bit of TLC. Surprising how much easier it is to solder without little fingers helping you... 😆

On my last job I noticed the video feed was a bit sketchy, so I've re-soldered some contacts and we seem to be back in business. Only way for me to check was to convert the HDMI out of a laptop into SDI, and run the signal through the sled.
