One last look at the forehead I’ve been trying to hide for so long.
For years, one of the main reasons I’ve always worn a cap or my trademark bonnet was to hide my forehead and my thinning hair. Some people, even some of my friends, would joke that my forehead was big enough for an airplane to land on. I would laugh along and pretend it didn’t bother me… but deep inside, sometimes it did hurt.
So today, I’m showing it without hiding.
Take one last good look at my bald forehead, because tomorrow I’ll be undergoing a hair transplant.
I’m excited, a little nervous, but most of all grateful to begin this new journey. For me, this isn’t about trying to become a different person. It’s about doing something for myself something that will help me feel more confident and become the best version of myself.
And through this journey, I want to remind everyone of something important:
Whether your beauty is natural or enhanced, whether you’ve had surgery or not, whether you have hair or no hair, perfect skin or imperfections always remain HUMBLE and BE KIND.
We never truly know what another person is insecure about or what they may be silently struggling with. A joke about someone’s appearance might seem harmless to you, but it can stay in their heart longer than you realize.
We don’t need to bring people down because of the way they look. We don’t need to bully anyone for something they cannot control. Instead, let’s encourage one another, lift each other up, and make people feel beautiful in their own way.
Tomorrow, a new chapter begins for me.
Not because I wasn’t enough before, but because I’m choosing to do something that makes me happy.
Here’s to growth, confidence, self-love, and becoming the best version of ourselves while never forgetting to stay humble and kind along the way. 🫶🏽
