Why we shouldn't say "In sha Allah" in our Duas 🤲✨

Have you ever caught yourself saying "May Allah bless you, In sha Allah" or "May Allah grant you success, Insha'Allah"?
While it comes from a beautiful place of wanting to submit to Allah's will, Islamic teachings actually encourage us to leave "In sha Allah" out of our duas. Here is why:
1. We should ask with firm conviction
When we make dua, we are turning to Al-Mujeeb (The Responder). We should ask with absolute certainty that Allah can and will answer us. Saying "if Allah wills" can inadvertently make it sound like we are hesitant or unsure.
2. Nothing is difficult for Allah
When humans say "if you want to," it's usually because we don't want to force anyone. But nothing can force Allah anyway! Everything happens by His will, so we don't need to make our requests conditional.
What the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) explicitly guided us on this:

"None of you should say: 'O Allah, forgive me if You wish; O Allah, be merciful to me if You wish.' But he should always appeal to Allah with firm determination, for nobody can force Allah to do something against His Will." (Sahih Al-Bukhari)

What should we say instead?

Instead of adding Insha'Allah, seal your duas with Ameen! Ask firmly, ask for the highest levels of what you want, and trust completely in His mercy.

The Miracle Dua of Musa (AS) from Surah Al-Qasas: "Rabbi inni lima anzalta" Discover the immense power of a single, heartfelt supplication that transformed the life of Prophet Musa (Alayhis Salam). When he uttered the words "Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khairin faqir" (Surah Al-Qasas 28:24), he was a fugitive in Madyan—homeless, penniless, hungry, and exiled from his home in Egypt.
In this beautiful reminder, M***i Menk shares a profound perspective on this powerful Quranic Dua. He explains how Musa (AS) didn’t ask for something specific, but instead expressed his complete poverty and desperate need for any good Allah could send down.
The results of this dua were miraculous. Immediately after making this dua under the shade of a tree:
1. Allah opened the doors of provision for him.
2. Musa (AS) was invited to the home of a righteous man (Prophet Shu'ayb AS, according to many tafsir).
3. He was granted a secure home.
4. He was given honorable employment for ten years.
5. He was gifted a righteous wife.
Prophet Musa AS had nothing, suddenly had everything a man could need to start a new life. If you are facing difficulty, unemployment, loneliness, or uncertainty, learn how to call upon Allah using this life-changing Dua of Musa (AS). Watch now to listen to M***i Menk’s inspiring message.
