We’re calling upon Palace fans to contact UEFA to raise their concern and disappointment at the decision made last week to demote Palace from the Europa League.

It’s important that we do this respectfully. Frustrations are high but we want to encourage change.

The morning after the day before, and it’s difficult not to feel dejected and disappointed in and their processes.

Anyone digging even a little beneath the surface will see that Palace aren’t and have never been part of the kind of MCO that Red Bull or Man City operate.

Palace have no relationship with Lyon other than having the misfortune of being partially owned by the same guy that owns them.

There have been no player trades. No staff exchanges. No collaborative use of resources. We have nothing to do with Lyon whatsoever.

The argument is that rules are rules but context is so important. Palace haven’t done any of the things that MCO clubs do. The clubs own ownership structure says that no one owner has more of a vote or a say than the other.

How can Textor then have decisive control? He can’t.

We hope that CAS see sense that couldn’t. But this entire process, the time it’s taken and the way it’s been handled, absolutely stinks.

It doesn’t fill you with confidence that really care about all its member clubs.
