This month's mix was inspired by the contents of some boxes of records I picked up from storage last week. Having relocated to Ireland after being in London for 8 years, I will be moving all my records from storage back to their new home. I'm sure at least half of my 2026 mixes will come straight from boxes of old records. It's such an exciting exercise, going through the old stock and finding gems that I had forgotten about and maybe didn't get the chance to put in mixes years ago.

The records in this mix represent the sound I was playing back in the late 90s/early 2000's. Groovy techno with lots of energy and heavy percussion.

Holding this vinyl in my hands feels surreal. This remix release marks a real milestone in my journey as a producer - a moment where years of experimenting with mechanical beats, cold circuits, and distant-planet soundscapes finally came full circle.

What makes it even more special is sharing space on this record alongside electro artists I’ve loved, followed, and admired for years. These are the creators who shaped my ears, pushed my imagination, and inspired me to dig deeper into the unknown corners of rhythm and texture. To now be next to them on wax feels like stepping onto an alien world I’ve dreamed of visiting since the beginning!

This record pulses with the things that first pulled me into electro: machine-tight grooves, synthetic atmospheres, and the feeling that each track is a transmission from a far-off planet. I’m proud to add my own signal to that universe.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: GAMADON

Galway-born, Mullingar-reared, DJ GAMADON (Gavin Mac Donagh) has recently moved back to Ireland from London, where he established the Warehouse Manifesto record label and mix series over the past few years.

Warehouse Manifesto released its seventh vinyl release earlier this year, from GAMADON, with two more releases planned by GAMADON in the coming months as part of a three part series called We Come In Peace, with remixes by some of the most respected names in the business. All of the vinyl releases are on limited edition picture disc, setting them apart from most records.

Gavin’s borderline infatuation with vinyl has been unwavering since the late nineties and you will never see him DJ in any other format.

Before relocating to places like London, Vancouver and Bermuda, Gavin ran some of Mullingar’s finest underground techno from 1997 well into the 2000s. His DISCO NOUVEAU nights are legendary, when he invited DJs like Sunil Sharpe, Fran Hartnett and Al Keegan (RIP) to the intimate venue that is The Stables. He also ran the BEAT BUNKER nights in Daly’s. He handed debut gigs to many local DJs including Jay Carroll (Mutate), TripdiscO, Martin Murray (M.A.M) and Ootep (Dermot Jessop), and it was at this time where many lifetime friends were made and their passion for electronic music was celebrated.

Outside of running events, GAMADON has played all over the place, from intimate sweat boxes to supporting The Prodigy in a sold-out Veledrom in Berlin. He is probably best known for playing electro and techno, but has also been heard delving into breakbeat, deep house, minimal, tech-house and everything in between.

Gavin is one of the ELECTRONIC CONVERGENCE residents and has a monthly livestream. These mixes are available on YouTube and SoundCloud and showcase his versatility in terms of musical genres, while always keeping it strictly underground.
