A wonderful evening to remember … the Cruise Industry at The Dorchester in London.

The hotel really couldn’t have been more beautifully decorated for the festive season by florist Philip Hammond and his team, both inside and outside.

Arriving a little early, I treated myself to a delicious cocktail in the elegant Vesper Bar. With decor inspired by the roaring thirties and soft jazz playing in the background, it was the perfect place to while away the time.

Singer Fleur East started the evening off in style before Sally Phillips took over the helm as host.

I was so thrilled for the Viking team - Emma, Antonia and Isobel. Yet again, they won the award for Favourite River Cruise Line!

It was such a pleasure to catch up with Jack from World of Cruising, Helen and Richard - Visit With Us (do check out their YouTube channel if you’re looking for cruise inspiration), Nicole Carmichael and Wendy Righ

Plus meet James and Anna - Panache Cruises - who won the award for Best Specialist Cruise Agency.

Thank you so much to Viking for inviting me. It was such a treat to don my new dress which I’d bought from Ghost at John Lewis & Partners and have my makeup beautifully applied by Mes from the Lisa Eldridge team at Selfridges.

And the first photo in the carousel? I took it last year on our ‘Romantic Danube’ river cruise with Viking.
