Why I Went Back To School
After my first 2 lectures at the University of Hertfordshire
“Research in Action: Methodologies, Data Collection and Analytical Strategies” and "Essentials of AI in Business and Digital Management"
I found myself standing at the shuttle stop with a few of my new classmates.
We were waiting for the school shuttle to take us back to the Main Campus for a Job Fair, and like most first-day groups, we started introducing ourselves, sharing where we came from and why we chose this programme.
When it came to my turn, I said something that came straight from my heart:
“I came back to school because I believe the future of work and life depends on how well we integrate human wisdom with artificial intelligence.”
There was a moment of thoughtful silence, then smiles, nods, and a few curious questions.
Right there - standing by the shuttle stop - I felt an inner confirmation:
I’m exactly where I need to be.
I didn’t come back to school just to earn another degree.
I came because I see a huge gap between technology’s potential and people’s everyday needs.
If AI is going to shape industries, influence policies, and transform how we live and work, it must be guided by human insight, ethics, and inclusive growth.
This journey is more than academic.
It’s a mission:
First, to bridge the worlds of innovation and human wellbeing💪
Second, to make sure the power of AI serves teachers, healthcare workers, farmers, small businesses, and entire communities.✌️
That’s why I’m here - to build the research depth and practical strategies to make that vision real. And from what I have heard and seen, so far, University of Hertfordshire is the right call!
