Celebrating One Year in the UK 🇬🇧
Last month(October), I celebrated one year of living in a new country. To be honest, I must say God has been good to me and mine.
I have learned new things. I had my own share of some cultural shock which I would be posting on my YouTube channel soon.
I have gone through my own share of the struggles as a new immigrant, especially the first 3 months. It wasn’t really a surprise to me because I was prepared. By God’s grace, we survived. I waited patiently for the moments I’m enjoying now.
If you ask me what I have accomplished in my one year of relocating to the UK 🇬🇧, I would list them as thus:
1. The gift of life: no sickness, no accident, safety always 🙏
2. We have been able to pay our house rents for 13 months now without calling for help👌
3. We have successfully handled monthly bills that come with living in the UK 🇬🇧 👏🙌
4. We successfully completed school fees payment on time🙌
5.What to eat has never been a problem. We eat whatever and whenever we want. Food is surplus.
6. As someone who works in healthcare, I have never got into trouble from my patients/colleagues. Ah grateful to Baba God 🙏 ifykyk 😀
7. My DBS is still intact because I haven’t been accused of anything bad. No service user/patient has died or fallen under my care. I have been efficient/competent at my role🫢☺️
8. The provision of a good job, especially in the NHS (aka govt job). 🤗
9. Recently, I had a better career-lined and a senior position role within the NHS 🧑⚕️
10. My marriage waxing stronger. UK 🇬🇧 lifestyle will try your marriage but no panic, God dey 😀

If I am not grateful for these things, how would God do more??
Cars, houses, etc, will come at God’s timing. It’s best to take life one step at a time and enjoy the journey.
