I am officially a Solicitor🥹 the first in my family, working class & proud baby!!
My avo migrated here from Madeira & worked as a chambermaid, my grandpa was a refugee from Slovenia. They both worked so so hard in multiple jobs to create a better life for our family, & that they did. No holidays for years & sacrifices to build their home & had 4 daughters who to this day also work their bums off! I’m so proud of our family’s story & our work ethic ❤️
That said, I wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without these people…
thank you for the years of prioritising my education, proof reading my essays, visiting unis & always being there for anything I needed. Thank you for showing me what it truly means to be a hard working independent woman, & influencing me to always ensure I don’t need to rely on someone else 🫶🏻
I don’t think there’s a better match for us in terms of the rollercoaster we’ve helped each other through 🥲 Thank you for calming my nerves & negative emotions through exams, thank you encouraging me to apply for a training contract, thank you for supporting me & wanting me to accomplish my own big deal to be an independent self sufficient woman 🤏🏼🤏🏼🫶🏻
I’m so glad we started talking randomly in the queue for our induction at Leeds Uni. The exam panics, the late night revision & takeaways…my uni & law experience wouldn’t have been the same without you. Thank you for always cheering me on & supporting me 🫶🏻
& thank you to all my friends I’ve been tired & moany around, but you just understood it! You know who you are - love you!!!! 🫶🏻
Anyways, for now… seeeee yaaa UK ✈️
