Klueless: “On My Mind” gained a new level of attention after that spontaneous moment outside the O2 during DJ AG’s set. Did you realise in that moment that something special was happening, or did the reaction come as a surprise afterwards?
Ayo: Oh man, that was crazy! That was the start of the madness in London. Every time we played that record, random girls would join in and start “twerking». It was such a success for the Summer anthem, every radio station played it, I mean from BBC1Xtra, Kiss FM and many national radios in the UK. We shot the video for that record in Dominican Republic, just at the shoot we knew the record was COLD! It was going to be hit but we didn’t know how far it would travel. For me, that was a rubber stamp of approval as a solo Artist, that it was time to focus on my artistry side of my creativity.
