Christmas Day, 1977. Huddersfield.

At the height of moral panic about punk, the S*x Pistols turned up at Ivanhoe’s nightclub to play two shows; one for adult and another for local kids, including children of striking firefighters.

The band handed out toys, badges and cake and Julien Temple filmed it all: Rotten grinning, giving out cake, kids climbing on stage. The footage became ‘Never Mind the Baubles’, a documentary released on Boxing Day in 2013.
