Hello everybody.

We are truly thrilled to bits at the reaction so far to Jim's long awaited autobiography, How Does It Feel. Written over the last two years with Daryl Easlea, it is an heartwarming capture of his life and thoughts.

We have been overwhelmed with the enquiries for Jim's time, either for interviews or going out with Daryl to discuss the book in public, and are pleasantly surprised he is in such demand.

Sadly, Jim's health means he is not up to either. He will not be out promoting his book, which he will leave in the capable hands of Daryl & Frank.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support in the matter as always, and to respect ours and Jim's privacy.

We hope you enjoy reading the book as much as we have watching it all come together.

Scene Within a Scene is out today, and we marked the occasion with a sold-out night at MONO Cafe + Bar + Venue.

Grant McPhee was joined by Stuart Braithwaite, Annie Spandex and Stuart Murdoch for a fascinating conversation about Scotland’s fiercely independent music scene in the mid to late 90s.

The discussion was followed by the opening of Radhika ✮’s radiant set, with Stuart joining her for a special rendition of ‘Boy with the Arab Strap’.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a memorable evening. Lots of familiar faces and catching up. If you took any photos, we’d love to see them.

Over the course of a remarkable sixty-year career, Taj Mahal has forged his own path, embracing a bold musical hybridity that fuses West African and Caribbean sounds with Delta blues, jazz, gospel and rock ’n’ roll. In retracing his ancestral roots, Taj has remapped the foundational influences of popular music and reimagined the possibilities of a truly ‘global’ sound.

In this updated and Remastered edition of his memoir, with a new foreword by blues singer Hazel Miller, Taj steps out from the shadows, revealing parts of himself previously unseen. From collaborations with legends like John Lee Ho**er, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Bonnie Raitt, and Bob Marley, to musical adventures spanning Santa Monica, Kaua’i and even tours through African war zones, he recounts a life lived in fearless pursuit of his passions and creative calling.
