Join us at the Barbican as we hang out with in his stylish ​⁠ Born in Louis Trichardt, a small town in South Africa, Index fell in love with rap and hip-hop after his brother introduced him to his first album—a classic from Mob Deep.

Having lived in Pretoria and Johannesburg, he has now made London his home. While many South African artists adopt an American sound, moving to the UK inspired Index to develop a unique style that distinguishes him from the typical American rap scene.

Index has achieved impressive accolades, including performing alongside UK garage and grime legends Roll Deep at the renowned Love-Box Festival. He also took the stage at the iconic Notting Hill Carnival in 2025, which led to his return to South Africa for the Venda Tour. During this tour, he appeared on platforms like Power FM and shared the stage with chart-topping artist A-Reece.
