Centred around a modulation of spatial imagery, paintings and film works create an exhibition of architecture in 4 Dimensions.
Centred around a modulation of spatial imagery, and competing notions of time in art this exhibition brings together paintings by Christian Hidaka and Juliette Bonneviot alongside moving image works by Samuel Fouracre, Tom Lock, Sara Ludy, Ben Sansbury and Daniel Swan to explore architecture in 4 Dimensions.
Migrating notions of surface, between the arrangement of the two sets of media serve to elicit distinctions between the time of art and its duration, between the forms of representational language found in the paintings and the doubling of space located in the moving image works. Anchored by a loose enclosure of screens with painted works on the interior and projections on the exterior serve to explore the relationship between the temporally residual qualities of paint, against the generous spatial conceit of the virtual which loosely englobes the space and allows the physical to find a fuller dimension of its character.
