History was made in Rabat as Nigeria’s Super Falcons clinched their 10th WAFCON title, finishing the entire tournament undefeated.

In a nail-biting final against host nation Morocco, Nigeria was 2–0 down at halftime, but the Falcons roared back in the second half, scoring three goals in a stunning comeback to win 3–2 and silence the home crowd. It was one of the greatest turnarounds in WAFCON history.

Nigeria went the entire campaign without losing a single game — and conceded just one goal in the knockout rounds. Under Coach Justin Madugu, their blend of experience, tactical brilliance, and never-say-die spirit was unmatched on the continent.

With this title, Nigeria remains the most successful women’s national team in Africa.

Can anyone stop them next time?👇🏾

Africa holds 60% of the world’s uncultivated arable land.

Yet, many of its nations are food-insecure and dependent on imported goods or foreign technology to feed their people.

In response, a wave of countries — from Nigeria to South Africa — are adopting genetically modified (GMO) crops to combat hunger.

But not everyone is convinced. Critics warn of unknown health risks, environmental hazards, and a troubling dependence on foreign biotech firms.

As the debate deepens, one question looms large: how did the continent blessed with so much land end up in this desperate position?
