So many scientific signs only in verses 9-12 of Surah 41! (from the Quran in Rhyme by Shariq Ali Khan, available on Amazon). SubhanAllah, not only the first rhymed translation but also the only one detailing the scientific verses in the Tafseer (Explanation, Endnotes)
Surah 41. The Details (Verses 9-12)
9. Ask them: “Are you really trying to hide from the One
Who has created the Earth in two epochs(i),
And you try to set up for Him competitors?
He is the Guardian of all the worlds!
10. He has placed on the Earth mountains standing firm towering above,
Giving through them sustenance and nourishment(ii) (to the world),
All this in equal to a period proportionate to 4 epochs(iii)), in case someone is curious!
11. Finally, He addressed the heaven, and it was like smoke(iv) (in substance).
He told it and the Earth, comev (settle down), whether you are willing to or not!
They both responded: “We come to settle down now, of course this is what we want(v)!
12. So He shaped them into seven Heavens within two epochs(vii).
And He commanded each heaven its role(viii).
And I have adorned the sky of this world with a light source(ix)
So, it can be taken care of.
Such is the command of the Almighty, Who Knows All!

i The relation of the age of the Earth to the age of the universe when expressed in week is 2:7 whilst
the unit of 1 is just over 2 billion years. This makes the Earth just over 4 Billion years of age and the
universe just over 14. In Islam there is no day of rest like in Christianity where in the Bible God
created the Earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th! The word Joum can be translated as a day or as an
era, period of epoch of flexible length as it is also expresses as being 1000 years of 50,000 years
elsewhere in the Quran.
ii Mountains expose rare minerals to the surface of the earth as they are a result of millenia of
continental drift. This is why so much mining takes place in mountainous regions an the big rivers
that have their sources there (, the Amazon in the Andes, the Nile in the Ethiopian Highlands, the
Rhine in the Alps, the Indus and Ganges in the Himalayas,) bring extreme fertility to the plains along
their shores. In the other verses about the mountains we learn about their depth and how they
stabilise the earth’s crust. When they disappear the earth will shake and also, the fac that they are
moving like clouds but on another timescale.
iii This Joum or epoch is different from the one above. In above case the age of the universe as a week
is compared to the age of the Earth. In this case the age of the Earth is subdivided into a week and
the 4 first days or epochs are the ones when the mountains were set and the nourishment from
within the Earth exposed or brought out through them. This is why volcanic soil is the most fertile
and mining takes place in mountainous regions.
iv This refers to both the smoke, ash and vapour in the young Earth’s atmosphere as well as the
cosmic nebula likewise.
v The Earth like all planets and the stars in the sky came together from cosmic smoke or nebula
consisting of Hydrogen and Helium mainly. The chaos in the early universe shortly after the Big
Bang resulted over a period of billions of years in a steady decrease of entropy (chaos and energy)
and increase in enthalpy (order) in planetary clusters.
vi Both the sky and the Earth are Muslims as they follow the command of Allah, as are all heavenly
bodies. They also have will and show obedience towards their creator.
vii This statement refers to the Earth’s atmosphere, its protective layer, which formed during the first
two epochs of its creation, if you subdivide the Earth’s age of 4.5 Billion years into 7 making it a
week. Without it life as we know it would be impossible.
viii Each of the seven layers of the atmosphere has a protective duty such as keeping the essential
gasses down on Earth and reflecting away harmful UV light.
ix Obviously, the sun, being a highly energetic plasma, is in a state of equilibrium between implosion
and explosion emitting just the right amount of energy for us to survive and thrive here on Earth as
well as sustaining all ecosystems on the surface of the Earth
