Felix Hart is back: penniless, viral for the wrong reasons and drawn into the murky world of wine influencing. Ribeira Sacra and the Heroic Wines of the Sil Canyon
Roll out a rug between ancient Roman terraces and you begin to understand why Ribeira Sacra feels like a sacred wine road. Here in the Cañón do Sil, vines cling to steep slopes above the river, harvested by hand in what locals call heroic viticulture.

Over Easter we walked the Camino de Nature, passed ghostly Benedictine monasteries and Tolkien like chestnut forests then cooled off in the Sil before tasting Godello and Mencia at Bodega Ronsel do Sil. Minimal intervention winemaking, indigenous varieties and a landscape shaped by centuries of toil make this one of Galicia’s most compelling wine journeys.
