New EU regulations for online sellers have been implemented in our Big Cartel shop!
Hi there,
Heads up for anyone selling to customers in the EU: we’ve added support for the EU’s new electronic withdrawal requirements that take effect on June 19, 2026.
For eligible orders shipped to EU addresses, customers will now see a Request Cancellation option on their order receipt page that they can use to exercise their right of withdrawal.
The good news? There’s nothing you need to set up. Big Cartel automatically displays the cancellation request option, notifies you when a request is submitted, and sends confirmation emails to the customer.
You’ll still make all decisions about how to handle each request. Orders aren’t automatically canceled or refunded, and certain types of purchases - like custom or made-to-order items - may be exempt under EU law.
