Manso Nkwanta Hemaa, Nana Nyarko Aboraa Sika III
Do you know that, Manso Nkwanta Hemaa, Nana Nyarko Aboraa Sika III was born and bread in France. Yes, she was born in France and grew up in France till she came for vacation in Ghana to visit her grandmother, Nana Nyarko Aboraa Sika II, who was then Manso Nkwanta Hemaa. She didn't speak Twi fluently but as a royal, Nana Nyarko Aboraa Sika II, took upon herself to give every help her granddaughter needs to assist her to speak TWi fluently, knows and understands Asante Culture and traditions. Nana Nyarko Aboraa Sika III adapted to the Ghanaian society and even furthered her education in Ghana and later in France. When her grandmother, Nana Nyarko Aboraa Sika II joined her Ancestors, it wasn't surprise that, Nana Nyarko Aboraa Sika III was chosen to hold and continue the legacy of her forebears. This is because, she was very close to her, she had been well trained and cultured by her. Nana was enthroned and surprisingly, she took her predecessor who happened to be her own grandmother Stool name, Nana Nyarko Aboraa Sika III. Nana, Mo ne yɔ and may your reign be prosperous and may you meet the needs of your people.
To those of us who have given birth outside Ghana, let's expose our children to Asante culture and tradition and most importantly, to speak Twi. Being born outside Ghana doesn't mean one can't learn and speak Asante Twi.
