The Energy Year team in had the pleasure of meeting Abdulrahman Al Yahyaei, CEO of Integrated Gas Company ( ), to discuss the company’s central role in shaping Oman’s gas future.
As the government’s dedicated gas entity, manages over 120 million cubic metres of daily flows, ensuring secure supply for power, industry, and exports. Recent milestones include Oman’s first spot gas sale, the introduction of new terms and conditions for gas usage, and the ongoing improvement of the national gas allocation strategy to better serve industrial growth.
With its mandate as the national aggregator and shipper of natural gas, IGC is at the heart of Oman’s energy strategy—balancing affordability, security, and sustainability while enabling industrial clusters in Sohar, Duqm, and Salalah. Looking ahead, IGC is positioning Oman as a credible player in global gas dialogue and as a bridge to the wider energy transition under Vision 2040.
