TENSION BETWEEN NIGERIA AND BURKINA FASO
On December 10, 2025, 11 Nigerian military personnel captured in Burkina Faso were released, but their Airforce C-130 aircraft was detained for scanning. Reports revealed that this aircraft was allegedly equipped with advanced surveillance systems, linking it to French military agencies, raising concerns over Nigeria's intentions.
The release of the personnel before proper investigation seemed linked to the primary goal of TEAM AES: uniting Africa. Regardless of the relationship between Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria's president, and Emmanuel Macron of France, it's crucial to note that Burkina Faso’s Ibrahim Traore previously negotiated hard with France, costing them £60 million for the release of their personnel.
This situation has escalated tensions, with Nigeria now viewed as a potential threat to Burkina Faso and the entire TEAM AES. The message is clear: support us or be against us. AFRICA MUST BE FREE.
