On this day, almost 30 years ago, I was asked by a TV & Radio personality called Chris Evans if I wanted to do the Radio 1 Breakfast show...
'If you don't, I won't' he said. (I'd loved to have believed that).
I said yes, obviously, and my life just got more brilliant, difficult, scary, outlandish, marvellously ridiculous, weary, wet and wild.

Listen to the energy coming out of the radio...love him or hate him, he was f**king good at it! He ruled the airwaves for a brief spell and we rode on the bridge!
