Saturday night we have Columbia making tbeir Mustard Seed debut. We’ve just been recording 3 tracks together that are full of energy, soulful vocals, intricate guitar layers and powerful drums. In their own words they blend the pop and groove-driven sensibilities of The 1975, the raw guitar energy of Jimi Hendrix, and the soulful musicality of Donny Hathaway and Tom Misch.

Can’t wait to hear them live. Music starts 8pm and it’s free entry

Next Saturday one of our featured artists is Ivo D S. Ivo has been recording his debut album at the mustard seed with one of the most authentic voices and lyrics from the deeply personal to Grenfell and Gaza. All wrapped up in deceptively accessible and hooky 3-4 minute songs. The first couple of tracks from the album are in the final mixing stages and can’t wait to hear him live. No tickets needed, just turn up at 20th June 8pm

Our second Mustard Seed Studio night featuring three original artists… 20th June FREE ENTRY!

COLUMBIA

Drawing influence from a wide range of artists, Columbia blends the pop and groove-driven sensibilities of The 1975, the raw guitar energy of Jimi Hendrix, and the soulful musicality of Donny Hathaway and Tom Misch.

Now entering a new chapter, Columbia returns in a refreshed and fixed form. With the addition of Daniel on drums and guitarist Rei, a new trio is formed, with new music soon to follow.

THE MUSTARD SEED

The Mustard Seed are an East London–based indie/funk band known for their infectious grooves, soulful energy, and classic-sounding songwriting that bridges cultures and styles. Formed by musicians from Colombia, Venezuela, Southport, and Cheltenham the band has support from 6Music and a sound equally at home in intimate venues and festival stages.
Their live performances combine trumpet-led jams with singalong choruses. Named after their East London studio, the band are currently working on a debut album set for release in 2026.

IVO DEL SANTO

Ivo Del Santo has labelled his authentic singer songwriter style as Urban Storytelling Folk.

Fueled by the need for change his poignant poetry illuminates Heartbreak and Revolution.

With a unique nomadic heart wrenching perspective his upcoming forward thinking debut album, recorded at Mustard Seed studios, has a solid range of influences and begins it’s anticipated roll out later this year.

Massive thanks to everyone who came out to support and take part in the first Mustard Seed event. Was a real privilege to be able to share some of the talent that I’ve been recording in the studio and for it to be such a lovely local gathering. We’re going to be doing it again for a midsummer special on 20th June so look out for that 🌞
