After just over 5 years of digging on Discogs, here is my top 100 most wanted records.
Since 2020, digging became something much deeper than simply collecting music. Search after search, I kept coming back to a very specific sound that shaped my identity and strengthened my relationship with music over the years. What started as curiosity slowly turned into something extremely personal: digging, selecting and understanding the records that resonate with me.
This selection brings together records I missed when they first came out, older releases I always wanted in my repertoire, and newer techno records that immediately felt necessary for my collection. For this list I leaned more towards techno than house, even though many house records have been part of my journey and my sets throughout the years. Some of these records already found their place in DJ sets I’ve shared online, while others are still waiting for the right moment to be played.
I still remember my very first Discogs top 10 when I had just started digging online. Now, after years of research and listening, I feel more connected than ever to what I truly like and stand for musically.
This post closes a chapter of my digging journey. A journey built through instinct, emotion, identity and admiration for underground music culture.
No need for names here, every image speaks through its label, artist and sound. Being able to discover, support and play this music remains one of the greatest pleasures in my life.
