Joint Press Release
Dated: 1 September, 2025
“From Us, For Us – Oralusi for Osun.”
Two powerful citizens-driven platforms — NextGen4HBO and CitizensforOralusi — have come together under one united banner to call on Hareter Babatunde Oralusi to answer the people’s call to lead Osun State in 2026.
Across Osun’s towns and villages, the voices of the people are rising: farmers, artisans, market women, civil servants, retirees, and youth are speaking with one voice — Osun deserves new leadership, a new vision, and a new future.
Hareter Oralusi’s story reflects the story of Osun itself. Born to a civil servant father and a market woman mother, he grew up with the values of discipline, resilience, and service. From these humble beginnings, he rose to global prominence in business, finance, and social development, yet never lost touch with the struggles and hopes of ordinary people.
“Osun is at a turning point,” the joint movements declared. “We need leadership that carries both the humility of our roots and the vision of global experience. In Hareter Babatunde Oralusi, we see a son of Osun, tested by life, equipped for service, and ready to bring transformation home.”
The united call is framed around simple but powerful messages that are echoing across communities:
“Osun is Calling. The Future is Now.”
“Osun’s Son, Osun’s Future.”
“The Son of a Civil Servant and a Trader – Ready to Serve.”
“From Us, For Us – Oralusi for Osun.”
NextGen4HBO, a movement of young people, professionals, and progressives, and CitizensforOralusi, a grassroots coalition of farmers, traders, civil servants, and retirees, have united to amplify this message: 2026 is the time. Oralusi is the choice.
The joint movement stresses that this is not merely a political campaign, but a call to service rooted in the voices of ordinary citizens. It is about restoring dignity, building opportunity, and ensuring Osun’s place as a model of development in Nigeria.
