Every year during Christmas holidays I start drawing festive card illustrations for the next season while I’m still in the mood and the Christmas atmosphere is all around me. I have painted snowy hills last year, in the end of 2024 - beginning of 2025 and as by miracle 2026 started for us with snow in Belgium. I have started working on new designs for Christmas 2026, by the way, but I’m not showing them until autumn!

I write my yearly achievements mainly for myself, because most of the time I sit at my desk and hate myself and feel shame for not doing the things the right way (not being a proper artist, not earning enough, not providing enough support for my children or my country). So here I can list the things I’ve done and make them official. So, in 2025 I :
1. Took part in 3 exhibitions: one with Ukraine Charity and two as a group show of Ukrainian artists.
2. Tried a new format - event illustration
3. Got commissioned to do multiple portraits - 10 years ago I wouldn’t believe I could do portraits at all.
4. Taught several charity art workshops for refugees and local community
5. Sales were lower than usual, but still sold out 2 editions of my calendars (with only a one of each design left).
6. Wine with the labels of my designs has just reached uk shelves in December and more wine will be released in May
7. Every week of 2025 Country Life Magazine has come out with at least one of my illustrations.
8. Cut out a 2 m long Vytynanka and lots of tiny ones
9. Visited new countries and beautiful places thanks to lovely people who welcomed me
10. Got inspired by wonderful women when I most needed that. Cheers to that! 🥂

I haven’t made any new year resolutions because I get very sad when they don’t come out (and they usually don’t) so here are just 20 pictures from 2025 with no second thoughts behind them. New year celebration with my family in January, Marrakesh in February with Mary, Flower Market with Ariane in March, Kew Gardens in April, in May Oliver turned 7 and in June Peter turned 10, date with Tadas around that time too, live painting in July and holidays in August with my Family and Ira. Also 13th wedding anniversary on Autumn as usual. There were a lot of good things in 2025!
