I was an honour and pleasure to host two of my favourite song writers in Whitechapel last night. Far more people showed up than expected on a rainy Wednesday night that clashed with an important emergency protest. Robb Johnson played a storming set with loads of new stuff that I hadn't heard before. David Rovics joined by Kamala & Leila previewed a lot of his gut wrenching new material that covers the ongoing genocide in Gaza along with old favourites like St Patrick's Battalion. Tonight's the night!

David Rovics & Kamala Emanuel playing their songs for Palestine and joined by the fantastic Mr Robb Johnson (Official). It was fitting to use this photo for the flyer as it shows them playing outside the Elbit Systems death factory in Leicester last year. Those same weapons are being used to committ genocide in Gaza right now. Door open at just after 7. Music starts at around 8. Will be a slightly earlier finish than usual as it is a Wednesday.

The Rovics return in two weeks time! His music could not be more relevant to what is happening in Gaza right now as the attempts at cancelling his shows prove only too well. A venue in Portsmouth pulled out (another one has been found) after the owner was approached by persons complaining about Palestinian element to the show. Please come & show your support.
