What’s The Story? The Creation of Balamory. As told by the shows creator, Brian Jameson.

Not for children, but for those who’ve never quite left childhood behind.

Brian said: ‘Balamory was the world’s first television soap opera made for preschool children. When it was first produced, it captured the imagination of people of all ages and became iconic. From early childhood onwards, I was always searching for stories to tell, and that is where the Balamory story begins.’

Turns out the The Big Comfy Couch is just as magical when you’re all grown up. 🥹

Getting to spend another day with and was already incredibly special but sharing it with friends who also understand what it means to love these little pieces of our childhood made it even better! ✨

There’s something beautiful about meeting the people behind the characters who once felt larger than life, and discovering that the warmth you remember through the screen was real all along. ❤️

Some childhood comforts are worth carrying with you.

The Big Comfy Couch × Retrokid is available now 🤩
