After several hours tweaking and twiddling controls, I think I got this sounding quite fresh. A Like A Prayer demo, transferred from tape, the quality was not as good as it deserves to be. There were some lovely synths, bass and vocals hiding under the mud. I haven't personally heard the track sounding this way before. It fast came one of my favourite songs from Madonna, as im a huge Like A Prayer fan. I am considering doing the same for Dear Jessie and State of Matrimony

Hello Madonna family. Pleased to report that I am making good progress with you can dance again. I have been busy with my official work. I am also an illustrator and over the years it just happened where artist started request my drawings to use on the album sleeves, etc. and that style of illustration just seems to be quite popular at the moment. It seems as l've had several requests and I've been busy drawing away the days. As many of you have already seen, l've drawn several portraits of Madonna unofficially of course. Here is one below which i drew for you can dance again. I am expecting to release you can dance again in the next week or so. Today I finalised the new mix of
'everybody. Now I just have to do something with holiday, into the groove and where's the party.

YOU CAN DANCE... AGAIN: A REIMAGINING
Remixed & Remastered by DRM / Warren Platt

You Can Dance was a groundbreaking remix album when it debuted in 1987, and with this reimagining, I’ve sought to honor its spirit while bringing something entirely new to the table. These are not remixes of the remixes, but fresh, authentic interpretations—crafted with the same energy and ethos that made the originals so timeless.

As a sound engineer in the 1980s, I developed a deep appreciation for the hands-on, manual approach to music production. That ethic is alive here. No AI, no shortcuts—just pure craftsmanship, built through careful editing, layering, and structure. One of the most personal moments in this project was working on newly added Open Your Heart—for the first time in over twenty years, I went back to my roots, transferring the track to tape, physically splicing sections together on reel-to-reel, and then bringing it back into the digital realm. It was a bit of fun, but a process of precision, patience, and passion—everything that makes classic remixing an art form.

I hope you enjoy this reimagining of You Can Dance, where every beat, break, and transition was shaped with a dedication to authenticity. I also welcome here, additional new tracks to the original track list, which I felt fit in nicely. Thank you for listening.
