🚢 World Premiere No. 3 — the final of three on one amazing day!

This Saturday at 7:30pm, head to Hexham Abbey to hear Hexham Orpheus Choir perform "The Good Ship Attenborough" — a dazzling and urgent new choral work by Russell Hepplewhite, based on a specially commissioned fantasy poem by Roger McGough.

With dolphins clapping, penguins pirouetting, and scientists sailing into melting ice, McGough’s poem delivers a powerful call on global warming — witty, moving, and impossible to ignore.

The nostalgic performance was so popular, officials had to close off the field to manage crowds.
