🎻 We’re delighted to announce that CelloSongs Book 1 has been shortlisted for the Music & Drama Education Awards 2027! 🎉

Thomas Hewitt-Jones and Alison Moncrieff-Kelly’s CelloSongs Book 1 is a collection of twelve original pieces for learner cellists, designed to develop technique, musicianship and confidence through genuinely enjoyable music-making.

ARCO, the magazine of the European String Teachers Association (UK), described it as:

“a musically rich and carefully structured resource that develops a wide range of skills in an engaging way – a really rewarding addition to the teaching repertoire.”

We’re thrilled that the judges of the Music & Drama Education Awards 2027 have recognised the work of Thomas, Alison and illustrator Rosie Brooks, and have selected CelloSongs Book 1 as one of just eight finalists in the Outstanding Music Education Print Resource category.

Christmas is coming… and we have two new carols from Mr Christmas himself, Thomas Hewitt Jones - Composer (official)!

'Rejoice and be merry' and 'Carol of the Sheep and Goats' are now available together in a brand-new Choral Now edition for SATB & Organ or Piano.

Two carols. One publication. Two for the price of one! 😉

Rejoice and be merry has a particularly personal connection for Thomas, who pays tribute to his composer-grandfather Tony Hewitt-Jones, while also drawing inspiration from John Gardner and Peter Tranchell.

Carol of the Sheep and Goats (lyrics by Gordon Giles) continues the thread from Thomas's earlier Camel Carol, with a memorable, upbeat melody and a touch of wit, alongside its thoughtful message of Christ as both shepherd and sheep.

A great addition to Christmas programmes looking for something new, tuneful and distinctly Thomas Hewitt Jones.

Celebrations in the office today following The Musical Vegetable Patch winning the Art of Piano Education Award for Printed Contemporary Sheet Music. 🏆🌱

There was carrot cake, of course.

Sir Edward Elgarlic and Master Mozartichoke also insisted on organising an open-top tractor parade around the boardroom under the careful supervision of Miss Baroccoli.

Normal publishing standards will resume shortly.

Preparations are now underway for Tuesday’s Art of Piano Education Awards at the Royal Albert Hall, where The Musical Vegetable Patch has been named a finalist.

I understand the ceremony is taking place in the Elgar Room.

I consider this entirely appropriate.

The moustache has been groomed.
The bulb has been polished.
Composure remains intact.
