As mentioned last week, Joe Sharpe and Henk Gieskens from the InstallerSHOW team have been with Navien at their head offices in Seoul, South Korea, to find out more about the brand’s exciting plans to grow in the UK. 📈

Navien launched in the UK in 2014, introducing eco-friendly, high-efficiency products based on condensing technology.

Navien has steadily expanded its product lineup, which includes the NCB-CE stainless-steel gas boiler, LCB700 Blue Flame oil boiler, and NCB ON Gas Boiler.

Our team got to see the incredible process of these products being made, visiting the G**o R&D Center, the ECO HUB factory in Seotan, and the Headquarters in Yeouido.

Our teams spoke about having big plans for InstallerSHOW 2026, showcasing its next-generation solutions - and we can't wait for this to all come together next year. 💥

With over four billion people lacking access to safe water, the crisis demands urgent local action, while Thames Water alone forecasts a 1 billion litre per day shortage by 2050. 💧

We need over 70,000 new plumbers by 2032 – but are we training them for smart water systems or just fixing leaks? The reality is stark. 12 UK cities including Edinburgh, Plymouth and York are already desperately short of skilled plumbers. Meanwhile, our existing workforce urgently needs upskilling in dual-pipe systems, water regulations, and cross-contamination prevention.

We're not just talking about traditional plumbing anymore. This is about rainwater harvesting, greywater recycling, water-efficient sanitary ware – the tech that could bridge our supply gap. The Thames revival shows UK innovation works, but without skilled hands to install these systems nationwide, we're heading for crisis.
