Big thanks to Myglobalmind Online Magazine for posting this and watch the powerful Re-insurrection video here: https://youtu.be/F98K7Cl3mT0

“‘Re-insurrection’ is a song about inequality and the mayhem it causes in the world. Inequality is the mother of all evil. In 2019, three individuals in the United States held more wealth than the bottom half of all U.S. households. The top 1% owned a staggering $43.45 trillion. Is this acceptable? Is this sustainable? The last time I was in Los Angeles, I was shocked by the number of homeless people living on the streets.

We are witnessing inequality grow at an exponential rate. And with it comes the threat of authoritarianism, repression, and a new form of modern slavery. For the wealthiest to maintain their grip on power and wealth, they must sow division, discord, and fear. The Romans had a phrase for it: ‘Divide et impera’—divide and rule.

Inequality, division, and plutocracy are a gateway to fascism. And fascism is a threat to everything we hold dear. The loss of freedom is the loss of life itself. This song is a call to recognize that danger—and to act.

‘Re-insurrection’ is in tune with the times—addressing the alarming rise of billionaire influence over government and the surge of the extreme right across the globe.” - Urock

Check out Tom Morello’s “Pretend You Remember Me” video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrOVH0L4PvA
The video features freed political prisoner LEONARD PELTIER delivering a powerful message on immigration.

Currently on the playlist at both Planet Rock and Kerrang! Radio “Pretend You Remember Me”, released through Mom+Pop Music, features Tom’s haunting voice and always searing guitar riffs. The song was written by Morello, produced/mixed/mastered by Zakk Cervini and written in solidarity with immigrants after the recent militarization of ICE against immigrant communities & supporters in Los Angeles.

Tom says, “This song is written for all the families torn apart by the recent immigrant purges and kidnappings. Children torn from their wailing mothers’ arms by masked government thugs, people coming home to find their loved ones abducted by the state. Folks who worked, suffered, and struggled for decades just to make a decent life for themselves and their family were violently separated with an uncertain future. “Pretend You Remember Me” is for them and for all those who are finding the courage to stand up against racism, tyranny, and injustice.”

The release of “Pretend You Remember Me” is in partnership with the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA), a nonprofit organization that has served and protected the Los Angeles immigrant community since 1986. CHIRLA aids immigrants in getting the legal defense teams they need as well as fighting against wage theft, discrimination, and harassment in the workplace regardless of immigration status.

This summer is hotting up for The Heat Inc., who are making waves with their first-ever film soundtrack and a standout appearance on a brand-new Ramones tribute album.

Their cinematic debut comes via Hot Milk, the directorial premiere of BAFTA-nominated writer Rebecca Lenkiewicz (Ida, She Said, Disobedience). The film, which hits cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 4 July, features three tracks from The Heat Inc.: Polaroids, Little Knuckle Charlie, and Get Wild.

Starring BAFTA award-winning Emma Mackey with Fiona Shaw, and based on Deborah Levy’s Booker Prize and Goldsmiths Prize short-listed novel of the same name, Hot Milk received its World Premiere in Competition at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival.

"Hot Milk is such a work of sweltering, unabridged and emergent brilliance that when Rebecca asked us to be a part of the film, it wasn't so much a question as a confirmation of what we already knew."

"Being a part of this film...this thing...it goes beyond literature, beyond film, beyond sweating in a barely ventilated bedroom, with one s**t fan and a dog barking somewhere outside and not enough water to hand. It's urgent and unrelenting and thankfully, it's something most people needs must pass.” - Jon Dodd (The Heat Inc.)

The Best Of The Ramones Redux features The Heat Inc. with Oscar Dunbar paying homage to da bruddas, with a cover of the classic ‘You’re Gonna Kill The Girl’: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6KkGABDCrc

"We're honoured to be part of this incredible tribute to The Ramones. Under manners from Magnetic Eye Records and curated by Grammy award-winning producer Marc Urselli, there are so many great artists involved in this project - including Wayne Kramer (MC5), Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), Brian Chase (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age), Jesse Hughes (Eagles of Death Metal), Kid Congo (Cramps, Bad Seeds) - we couldn't consider ourselves in better company.

The Ramones shall be remembered for the intensity and uncompromising nature of their performance, all while delivering monster melodies and maintaining their integrity above all else. Whether or not you agree entirely with what they had to say or whom they were as individuals, there is a purity to their sound and that is to be respected.” - Marco Simoncelli (The Heat Inc.)

The Heat Inc. is set to take the stage at this year's Maid of Stone Festival on Sunday, July 20, joining an electrifying lineup that includes legendary acts Michael Schenker and Sweet.

"Maid Of Stone has been in the crosshairs for some time. It's a destination as well as being on the way and we're excited to be there with a real set of real songs, played by a real bunch of mother f**kers.”- Jon Dodd (The Heat Inc.)

Held in the heart of Kent, the Maid of Stone Festival is known for bringing together iconic names and rising stars in rock and metal. The Heat Inc.'s high-energy performance promises to be a highlight of the day.

Drink The Sea a veritable supergroup made up of 4 renowned songwriters with 4 distinct backgrounds have released their first ever single, ‘Outside Again.’ and you need to embrace this band.

Listen to ‘Outside Again’, a song about love and alienation here: https://linktr.ee/DrinkTheSea

Drink The Sea is:
Peter Buck, the founding guitarist and songwriter for R.E.M. His collaborations with other bands and singer-songwriters spans dozens of albums across 40 years. His collaborations with Drink The Sea member, Barrett Martin, includes work on over 35 albums to date.

Duke Garwood, a revered British singer-songwriter and guitarist who has made multiple solo albums. He has also collaborated on albums with Screaming Trees singer, Mark Lanegan

Alain Johannes, a Chilean-American producer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer-songwriter who founded the band Eleven. His virtuosic skills have been tapped by several artists including Chris Cornell PJ Harvey Queens of the Stone Age Them Crooked Vultures and many others.

Barrett Martin, a Grammy-winning producer who was also a drummer and songwriter for the Seattle band Screaming Trees as well as the supergroup Mad Season He formed the instrumental group, Tuatara, with Peter Buck and has worked on over 200 albums as a producer and session musician, playing on albums for R.E.M., Queens Of The Stone Age, Brazilian superstar Nando Reis, and various singer-songwriters.

Lisette Garcia, a Mexican-American percussionist who is married to Barrett Martin and has played on multiple albums from around the world. She has also worked as a song-translator for albums made in South America.

Drink The Sea began three years ago in 2022, when Alain and Barrett jammed at Barrett’s studio in Olympia, WA just to see what kind of magic they could conjure together. Two years later, Barrett and Duke toured together in England and Iceland, before recording additional songs in Reykjavik. Then Barrett, Duke, and Peter met in Sao Paulo to record more songs, which continued with Alain joining them in Joshua Tree to record the final batch of songs. Final production happened at Barrett’s studio in Olympia, WA, and mixing took place in Barcelona, Spain. The result are 22 songs, spread across two debut albums, Drink The Sea I and Drink The Sea II.

Taking their name from a lyric that Duke wrote, the albums were produced and mixed by Barrett and Alain and reflect the members vast experience as songwriters, arrangers, and singers. It also shows a strong world music influence that permeates the music. Although the songs are built around traditional guitar, bass, and drums configurations, the songs also shimmer with the sounds of Arabic oud, Indian sitar, Indonesian gamelans, and various exotic percussions like Brazilian surdo, frame drum, vibraphone, marimba, and kalimba.

Drink The Sea will start touring in the late fall of 2025, and following the release of ‘Outside Again’, a new single will be released every two weeks. The two albums will be released on September 19th and October 3rd, respectively.

The Young Godshave shared a new single titled “Systemized”, the final track to be released ahead of their highly anticipated forthcoming record “Appear Disappear”, out June 13th via Two Gentlemen.

Evoking a sense of urgency with its relentless energy and powerful lyrics, the new single “Systemized” marks a searing return to the band’s industrial roots. This single is accompanied by a striking lyric video directed by Sylvain Scarangella, where fragmented phrases glitch across flickering TV screens – disrupted transmissions that reflect the song’s haunting themes of isolation, control and resistance.

Watch the “Systemized”video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScVWXRSnTTM&t=4s

The guitars are out, and the knives are drawn. To the galloping rhythm of a world spiraling out of control, The Young Gods take aim and strike with renewed power. From the very first second of “Appear Disappear”, the six-string tears through space, baring its fangs in an electric howl. The trio has returned to its most aggressive fundamentals, to its art of sonic warfare—never superfluous when war is everywhere.

Rarely has a Young Gods album been so deeply infused with its era—one of military conflicts, mass surveillance, and intimate dramas. Since their inception in 1985, the band has pioneered musical landscapes that dared to fuse the raw urgency of rock with the power of electronics. “Appear Disappear” captures that beating heart. The Young Gods honor their own history as much as their lifelong influences, from psychedelic rock to post-punk, from the swirling, very "Doors-like" “Intertidal” to the industrial rolls of “Systemized”.

"We wanted something raw," summarizes Franz Treichler, guitarist and vocalist. "After the atmospheric rock of “Data Mirage Tangram” (2019) and the instrumental piece “In C” by Terry Riley (2022), we needed and wanted to express ourselves more directly."

A guerrilla album, then. A record of resistance. In both its themes and intensity, it plunges into the heart of the trap, into "the brain of the monster"—which Che Guevara precisely located in Switzerland and which still thrives there comfortably. But it is not impossible to confront it.

"Appear Disappear” is a reflection on our involvement in the world's problems and our ability to take a stand. How do we react, make the right move amid the vast sea of data we process every second?" asks Treichler. Propelled skyward by the electro pulse of Cesare Pizzi (sampling, electronics) and the pounding drums of Bernard Trontin, “Mes yeux de tous” unfolds the same dizzying question: How do we avoid being swallowed by the "cloud" we ourselves feed?

The answer is in our hands. The impact is physical, the dance tribal. To an obsessive tempo, “Shine that Drone” imagines a crowd stomping the ground, raising a wall of dust to blind surveillance drones. “Blackwater” celebrates new tools of resistance—how to turn digital surveillance to our advantage. Blackwater was the codename of a Chinese activist who mapped police movements in real-time during the Hong Kong Umbrella Revolution. The bass undulates and sways, like a silent revolt spreading through the streets.

But “Appear Disappear” is also—and above all—a record about love. A collective chant, created in jam sessions by a trio more united than ever, and an ode from Franz Treichler to his wife Heleen, who passed away in 2023. Love is shouted, it overturns everything. “Blue Me Away” reserves the album's most beautiful explosions, its rawest bursts of sound. Treichler is certain: "Chaos dances when feminine and masculine dances unite." The music of The Young Gods is its soundtrack.

Today The Wildhearts release a brand new single / video, ‘I’ll Be Your Monster’, from their forthcoming studio album, ‘Satanic Rites of The Wildhearts’, out March 7th via Snakefarm worldwide.

‘I’ll Be Your Monster’ finds The Wildhearts at their full creative tilt, delivering a hard-hitting, retooled glam stomper with a modern twist. This infectious track, complete with Shining / Emperor member Jørgen Munkeby on guest saxophone, positively rips through the speakers, and as Ginger succinctly puts it, “is one for the narcissists.”

Ginger Wildheart is arguably amongst the UK’s best and most prolific songwriters, and his band, The Wildhearts, recently signed a worldwide deal with Snakefarm / Integral.

"The songs on ‘Satanic Rites…’ were written during a period of transition, from extremely negative to positive,” reflects Ginger. “There’s everything here – catchy choruses, proper f**k-off riffs, anger, frustration, acceptance and revelation, with plenty of insane detours. A hard rock album for people who love hard rock!”

‘Satanic Rites of The Wildhearts’, the UK outfit’s 11th studio outing, was produced by Jim Pinder and mixed by Jim Pinder & Carl Bown, and is conceived as a belated follow-up to the classic ‘Earth vs…’ debut (1993).

In addition to ‘Failure Is The Mother Of Success’, ‘Troubadour Moon’ and ‘I’ll Be Your Monster’, the album features a further seven tracks, with the CD format including bonus track, ‘Loyola’.

The Wildhearts release a brand new single / video, ‘Troubadour Moon’, from their forthcoming studio album, ‘Satanic Rites of The Wildhearts’, out on March 7th via Snakefarm.

The uplifting ‘Troubadour Moon’ is an explosion of anthemic goodness and packs a melodic punch, watch the video here:
https://youtu.be/KYlH9DsZ0Bc

“I was reading an interview with a well-known musician recently, and he was talking about how there aren’t any troubadours anymore – people who play music purely for the love of it. I thought it was an interesting observation, so I’ve addressed it here, along with the idea of being yourself and not being swayed by trend or fashion, by the latest thing. If you allow that to happen, there’s the danger that you’ll always be one step behind or in someone else’s shadow…” – Ginger Wildheart

“With the new ‘Satanic Rites…’ album reflecting both the spirit and the energy of the classic ‘Earth vs…’ debut, both musically and visually, it made sense for the video for ‘Troubadour Moon’ to contain a host of references – some very subtle and obscure – to the glorious early days of the band. Plus, acknowledging the past in this way will hopefully put a smile on the faces of longstanding fans, and underline the fact that those creating the videos, the artwork and the photos, all of the imagery, are true fans of the band with a passion for detail. And if anyone knows why there’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it nod to former Newcastle manager Kevin Keegan in the clip, then you really are a serious fan! Please take a bow!” - Dante Bonutto, Snakefarm

The creatively brilliant Ginger Wildheart is arguably amongst the UK’s best and most prolific songwriters, and his band, The Wildhearts, recently signed a worldwide deal with Snakefarm / Integral.

"The songs on ‘Satanic Rites…’ were written during a period of transition, from extremely negative to positive,” reflects Ginger. “I realised how much control I have over my mental health, and the songs came from that understanding. There’s everything here – catchy choruses, proper f**k-off riffs, anger, frustration, acceptance and revelation, with plenty of insane detours. The album starts pessimistic then ends up like ‘Ah, so I CAN turn my life around?’ It’s a hard rock album for people who love hard rock!”

‘Satanic Rites of The Wildhearts’, their 11th studio album, was produced by Jim Pinder ( Bring Me The Horizon, While She Sleeps, Bullet for My Valentine) and mixed by Jim Pinder & Carl Bown (Trivium, Machine Head, Bring Me The Horizon, While She Sleeps, Bullet For My Valentine), and the record is conceived as a belated follow-up to their classic debut, ‘Earth vs The Wildhearts’ (1993).

Along with the singles, ‘Failure Is The Mother Of Success’ and ‘Troubadour Moon’, the album features a further eight tracks, including glam stomper ‘I’ll Be Your Monster’ (featuring Shining / Emperor member Jørgen Munkeby on guest saxophone).

“We’ll be taking a full evening’s entertainment on tour, kicking off with party-punks Dirt Box Disco, going to rock ‘n’ roll church with Jim Jones, then being flayed alive with The Wildhearts. The party starts when the doors open, so get a buzz on and get down early. Come join the Wildhearts’ community gathering. We guarantee you’ll leave with the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll firmly restored” – Ginger Wildheart

For three decades, The Wildhearts have remained at the forefront of the UK rock scene, and their incendiary live shows have cemented their reputation and legacy as one of the best band’s their homeland has produced, so miss these shows at your peril.
