One of the most enduring and beloved holiday songs of all time, Greg Lake’s “I Believe in Father Christmas,” celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. First released in 1975, the track has long stood as a thoughtful, timeless reflection on the meaning of Christmas— its beauty, its complexities, and the hope it inspires.

Greg and fellow King Crimson co-founder Pete Sinfield wrote the lyrics while relaxing in Greg's big leather lounge chairs during the second half of 1975, in time for Greg to record the single and the video. The song was originally written in protest at the commercialisation of Christmas, but has since, decade after decade, been recognised by fans for its timeless message of peace and unity during the holiday season.

To mark the anniversary, a newly remastered 50th Anniversary Video for “I Believe in Father Christmas” has been created. The animated piece brings renewed life to Lake’s
iconic composition, pairing its sweeping orchestration with imagery that resonates across generations.

The celebration also includes a series of videos capturing children’s first-time reactions to the song. These clips highlight the innocence, curiosity, and sincerity at the core of the track’s themes, offering a modern and emotionally engaging perspective on a classic work and showing how its message continues to reach new audiences.

As the 50th anniversary unfolds, “I Believe in Father Christmas” remains a rare piece of music that grows more relevant with time. Greg Lake’s reflective and hopeful songwriting endures as a poignant reminder of what the season truly represents.

“I Believe in Father Christmas” — still moving hearts, still sparking conversation, still defining the sound of the holidays… 50 years on.

Senser have released Full Body Rebellion—an explosive new video that serves as both a sonic antidote and a rallying cry, marking the announcement of a brand-new run of shows.

The track is taken from Sonic Dissidence, the band’s first new album in 12 years. Self-funded, self-produced, and unapologetically uncompromised, the record captures Senser at their most defiant and dynamic.

“The idea of full body rebellion is the moment when we have a kind of visceral physical reaction to the sheer quantities of disinformation that were absorbing constantly. Like a body rejecting a toxin. The rhythms are inspired by early drum machine hip-hop beats.” - Senser

Watch the ‘Full Body Rebellion’ video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbZ1e_u23SI

Senser will hit the road for a run of headline UK dates in 2026, following their performance at the Bearded Theory Festival on May 24th. The headline tour kicks off on June 12th at the Brudenell in Leeds and wraps up on June 27th at the Voodoo Rooms in Edinburgh, with special guests - Collapsed Lung.

Senser has been in a period of intense focus creating the new album and the energy of the band is at full pressure. They promise the gigs "will be an explosion, delivering anthems like ‘Eject ‘and ‘Age of Panic’ alongside a whole new wave of songs that hit hard—challenging fear-based control systems, illuminating the dissonance of modern life - delivered with a seismic intensity that shakes you to your core.”

Senser emerged from the UK’s underground scene with an explosion that still echoes to this day. Fusing hip-hop, metal, electronica, and sharp-edged protest, the band quickly gained notoriety for their high-voltage shows and a sound that refused to be contained. Their 1994 debut album Stacked Up smashed into the UK charts at number 4, sparking a global wave of press, radio, TV and tours,—building a dedicated cult following along the way.

With a string of powerful album releases—including Asylum (1997), SCHEMAtic (2003), How To Do Battle (2009), and To The Capsules (2013)—Senser have continually evolved while keeping their revolutionary spirit alive. Collaborations with producers such as Arthur Baker (Afrika Bambaataa), Neil McLellan (The Prodigy), and Scott Harding (New Kingdom, Wu-Tang Clan) have only sharpened their edge.

After the pandemic’s global pause, Senser roared back into action in 2023, selling out London’s iconic 100 Club. The gig marked a triumphant return, offering fans their first taste of the new material destined for the Sonic Dissidence album. The response was overwhelming—proof that Senser’s relevance and power remain as fierce as ever.

With Sonic Dissidence earning widespread acclaim, live dates continue to sell out rapidly, as Senser’s supporters rally behind a band that has always stood for something bigger and louder than just the music.

BMG and Gary Moore will reissue four beloved titles from the legendary guitarist’s catalogue Ian 2026: the studio albums Old New Ballads Blues (2006), Close As You Get (2007), and Bad For You Baby (2008), along with the live album Live at Bush Hall (2014, recorded in 2007).

All titles will be available on CD from 27th February, with each release also presented on double vinyl, arriving 24th April.

In addition to the reissues, today marks Bonhams London’s special auction, The Gary Moore Collection: The Final Encore. This event celebrates Moore’s extraordinary legacy and represents the final sale in a series dedicated to his personal collection. The auction features an exceptional selection of guitars, amplifiers, studio equipment, stage-worn clothing, and accessories spanning his influential career.

Headline items include a 1960 Fender Stratocaster, one of Moore’s longest-serving guitars, heard on numerous recordings and used extensively on stage. Also available via Private Sale is Moore’s revered 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard ‘Stripe’, his most recorded guitar, featured on classics such as Still Got The Blues, Oh Pretty Woman, and Walking By Myself. Interested parties are encouraged to contact the Bonhams Pop Culture team for further information.

Old New Ballads Blues, Gary Moore’s 15th solo album, continued his exploration of the blues with a mix of classic blues tracks—written by legends such as Otis Rush and Willie Dixon—and his own original compositions. The album also features Don Airey on keyboards.

One year later, Close As You Get was released, reuniting Moore with his former Thin Lizzy bandmate, drummer Brian Downey, who performed on every track. Stripped down and raw, the album finds Moore delving as close to purist, traditional blues as he had ever ventured.

Released in 2008, Bad For You Baby is Moore’s seventeenth solo album and the final studio album released during his lifetime. It leans toward the hard-rock-infused blues style he had embraced in previous years and includes covers of two songs strongly associated with Muddy Waters. The album also features standout collaborations with Cassie Taylor and Otis Taylor. Gary Moore passed away on 6 February 2011.

Concluding this group of reissues is the live album Live at Bush Hall. Recorded in 2007 at an intimate, invitation-only show promoting Close As You Get, the 13-song set once again pairs Moore with drummer Brian Downey. Thin Lizzy’s “Don’t Believe a Word” is the only Lizzy track to make it into the setlist and the performance features rare live versions of several songs, including Chuck Berry’s “30 Days,” the self penned “Trouble at Home,” and Sonny Boy Williamson’s “Eyesight to the Blind.”

Gary Moore rocked the worlds of blues and rock with his virtuoso guitar playing and soulful voice. Best known for his evocative solo hits Parisienne Walkways and Still Got the Blues, as well as his on-and-off membership in TThin Lizzy Moore’s solo career comprises more than twenty albums. Throughout the 1980s, he rose through the rock hierarchy, but ultimately turned his back on what he regarded as the empty flash of metal and returned to his true passion—the blues—where, ironically, he achieved his greatest commercial success with his blues albums of the 1990s and 2000s.

Alongside leading his own bands throughout a successful solo career, Gary Moore played with some of the greatest names in rock and blues, both live and on record, including George Harrison, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, Greg Lake, B.B. King, Albert King, Albert Collins, and many others. Widely regarded as one of the most influential Irish musicians of all time, Moore was honoured by both Gibson and Fender with signature guitars. The Northern Irish star remains celebrated as one of the finest guitarists in music history.

Bruce Foxton of The Jam and Stiff Little Fingers has officially announced an exciting run of 2026 UK tour dates.

The 18-date tour kicks off at The Crossing in Birmingham on 23 January and includes two special nights at the iconic Cadogan Hall in London on 8–9 May. The run concludes in style with back-to-back shows at Liverpool’s world-famous Cavern Club on 17–18 June.

“I’m really looking forward to 2026 when I get back out on the road again with my new all-star band. Hope you can make one of the dates. See you there!” - Bruce Foxton

With a career spanning nearly five decades, Bruce came to prominence as the bassist, vocalist, and songwriter for The Jam, writing and performing lead vocals on iconic tracks News of the World and Smithers-Jones, and their celebrated cover of The Kinks’ David Watts.

After The Jam disbanded, Bruce Foxton released his acclaimed solo album Touch Sensitive in 1984 before joining Stiff Little Fingers, with whom he toured and recorded for more than 15 years.

In 2007, Bruce Foxton joined up with ex-The Jam drummer Rick Buckler, and guitarist/vocalist Russell Hastings to form From The Jam, touring extensively to critical and fan acclaim.
Now, in 2026, Bruce Foxton takes to the stage with a brand-new project — an electrifying live show that brings together exceptional musicians to celebrate his remarkable career and deliver unforgettable performances of his greatest works.

27/10/2025

EMF release Reach For Something Higher EP ahead of their forthcoming tour: this brand-new EP is streaming digitally now and will be available as a four track vinyl collection and seven track CD.

To celebrate the release, EMF will hit the road for sixteen intimate club shows across the UK in 2026. The tour kicks off at The Cluny in Newcastle on Wednesday 11 March 2026 and concludes at The Garage in London on Saturday 16 March.

The Reach For Something Higher EP features 3 protest songs: The Day the Music Died (originally from The Beauty and the Chaos), two brand-new songs — Hands in the Air and LGBTQ+ Lover — and a remix of Depeche Mode’s classic Just Can’t Get Enough.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the new material, EMF said:

“EMF landed in the US in June scared of what we might find. We found hope and a will to stand up for democracy, equality and accountability and we wrote “Hands in the Air” and “LGBTQ+Lover” as a response to that.

We dedicate 'Hands in the Air' to Led By Donkeys and their art activism and commitment to accountability.

Watch the 'Hands in the Air' video here: https://youtu.be/7Y3_XHsKLM0?si=-cRC0Cpo85LNNj8p

Too many straight voices have been quiet, so 'LGBTQ+ Lover' is for our family, friends, fans, and all those who feel increasingly unsafe.

As Stonewall says, ‘Our vision is of a world where everyone, everywhere, has equal rights.’

Watch the 'LGBTQ+ Lover' video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnKi6P_9vZA

'The Day the Music Died' is about protecting the right to protest, and we encourage our fans to support this cause by signing the Greenpeace UK petition.

Watch the video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kCw-inJxn4” - EMF

To pre-order The Reach For Something Higher EP, on CD and vinyl please visit: https://emf-theband.com/higher-ep
The CD includes an exclusive remix of LGBTQ+ Lover by Simon Ellis.

Playing live has always been a highlight for EMF and with the new songs from the EP added to live favourites from earlier in their career, the live set is rich and varied.

“After the success of our club tour in 2025 we decided to do more of this size of club where audience and band can commune in the act of rocking out. We are looking forward to playing a full headline set and including songs from all 5 of our studio albums. We will come up with some surprises: maybe a brand new song, a cover version that is relevant to the town we are playing or a special guest or 2. Can’t wait to see you out there! “- EMF
