He Got Up — So I Could Rise

They laid Him down in silence,
Sealed the stone like it was done.
But death forgot who it was dealing with—
The story had just begun.

Because on the third day,
Before the break of dawn,
The ground shook,
The grave broke,
And the Son of God shone on.

“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.” — Romans 8:11

Yeah, that same Spirit—
Resurrection in motion,
Power in stillness,
Hope in the ocean
Of every doubt that tried to drown me.

See, I’m not just surviving—
I’m alive, because He lives.
I’m not just forgiven—
I’m a child of the King who gives
New breath, new grace, new name,
A place at His table, a purpose in His flame.

So when I say Happy Easter,
I’m not talking chocolate and spring—
I’m talking tombs turned to doorways,
And slaves made into kings.

He got up—
So I could rise.
And now I walk
With heaven in my eyes.
