This unusual and powerful combination comes together in JARIPEO, a new feature doc we are extremely proud to be Executive Producers on! The film will be premiering at Sundance 2026 – the final Sundance Film Festival to be held in Park City.

Misfits have two films with their US Premieres at Doc NYC next week!

BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL: THE KWAME BRATHWAITE STORY will be screening on Thursday 13th at 9:15pm, at SVA Theatre, and on Monday 17th at 7:45pm at Village East by Angelika. The Guardian’s four-star review of the film called it “an exhilarating record of game-changing photographer”.

And if you haven’t got your Misfits fix, LOWLAND KIDS will be playing on Saturday, 15th 2025 at 8:00pm, and on Sunday 16th at 4:00pm at Village East by Angelika. Screen Daily called the film “a lyrical, luminous portrait of lives on the periphery” — you don’t want to miss this one on the big screen.

LOWLAND KIDS continues its incredible festival run at Doc NYC, Leeds International Film Festival and IDFA.

The film follows two teenagers grappling firsthand with the climate crisis, when rising sea-levels and volatile weather conditions force their indigenous community into becoming the United States’ first climate refugees.

Screen Daily called the film - “a lyrical, luminous portrait of lives on the periphery.”

Team Misfits are happy, fulfilled and knackered after a hugely successful WORLD PREMIERE of our latest film BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL: THE KWAME BRATHWAITE STORY at the London Film Festival! It was amazing to celebrate this important and powerful film with such an emotional audience. Now it’s time to hit the sack, before we’re back to the grindstone on Monday!
