Among them — the announcement of a possible breakthrough in trade negotiations with China; new deals with several Asian countries; a joint political framework on critical minerals and rare earth elements with Japan; an increase of tariffs in relation to Canada; and the formation of potential for strengthening cooperation with Brazil. Russian Oligarchy Sinks into the Desert: Dubai Becomes the Offshore Capital of Power

While the Russian working class survives on slogans of “import substitution” and “traditional values,” the upper tier of the bourgeoisie has quietly relocated its wealth under the protection of Arab sheikhs.

According to recent investigations, Dubai has become the largest refuge for Russian money since 2022. Within three years, the Emirate has turned into a silent port where sanctions lose their strength and the origin of funds is nobody’s concern. Real estate, yachts, shell companies, and “residency visas” — all serve as a new layer of insulation between war and luxury.

Behind a façade of neutrality, the United Arab Emirates now facilitates the interests of Russian corporations and sanctioned individuals. Dozens of law firms and consultants in Dubai assist oligarchs in opening accounts, buying citizenship, and hiding ownership structures — in exchange for a cut of future profits.

While Europe and the US freeze assets, Emirati banks quietly open doors — as long as money flows through “private channels.” The laundering is disguised as investment, residency, or innovation funding. In reality, it’s a new form of capitalist evasion: a geopolitical shelter for stolen wealth.

Experts warn that this exodus of capital is not temporary but structural. The Emirates are building a “sanctions hub” where Western capital and Russian oligarchs meet over the same table. A new layer of transnational bourgeoisie is forming — indifferent to borders and wars, yet wholly dependent on secrecy.

Meanwhile, Russia loses not just funds but what remains of its economic sovereignty: the billions leaving through Dubai could have financed industries, infrastructure, or social programs. Instead, they become marble villas and accounts overlooking the Persian Gulf.

💧 Capital flight is not a personal escape. It’s the theft of a nation’s future.
